What is the non-theist replacement for "I'll pray for you?"
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 27, 2017:
"pray" actually meant "wish" when the English Bible was translated, and this is reflected in the original
What is your response when people threaten you with religious punishments? (i.e. Hell/Jahannam)
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 27, 2017:
"if you dig a pit for someone, you end up in it yourself"
How do you tell religious people that you're an atheist?
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 27, 2017:
why would you be talking to one anyway?
Should religion be taught in schools?
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 27, 2017:
of course--you just should not be sending your kids there :)
If religion never existed... (finish the line)
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 27, 2017:
...some government would make one up. Religion and politics are two sides of a coin
Does it seem like Christians throw Jesus’ death around in everybody’s face?
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 22, 2017:
Mila, is that you? :)
God said let us make man in our image. Who was he talking to?
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 22, 2017:
ha who could possibly have been listening in order to quote God basically answers that i guess right. Genesis is admitted mythology, and should be read that way imo. The plurality of God is a device used to help establish God as unknowable, yet still inclusive, etc
Honestly, I don't know why so many people think Jesus is going to come back.
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 22, 2017:
this is how ppl identify themselves so you can avoid them, see, everyone gets outed by their interpretation. If one applies "it is finished" whenever their works are discussed, they also invariably say they are Waiting for Jesus to come back and save them again, right. They are revealed, iow "I will never leave you or forsake you," etcetc
Does anybody ever wish they could believe in graceful God?
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 22, 2017:
you only get what you give away
If you've been baptised are you always Christian?
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 22, 2017:
ha no, of course not, God hates religion, the OT is basically a Book about the failure of religion, the Good Samaritan (Samaritans were perceived as...oh, Muslims are by most Christians today) is held up as an example to follow, and etc. Ppl going around saying "i'm saved" and proselytizing don't know what they are talking about. i wouldn't say because "logic" exactly lol, but that works. The Bible was written in a Dialectic style, so logic fails there, hence why all the endless disagreement interpreting, by design
What moral code do you follow now that you are non-religious?
bbyrd009 comments on Dec 17, 2017:
be willing to admit when you're wrong. period
