I know the country well, having hiked, hunted,and fished in the Bald Mountain State Recreation Area, when I lived in Michigan thirty-plus years ago. I didn't know they'd laid out a trail, connecting it with Rochester. As teens, we explored every back road, and hunted pheasant,quail, squirrel, and bunny rabbit. There was also an artesian well out there, that I used to go to, to collect drinking water (much better-tasting than Detroit tap water!).

When little donny trump is finally out of the white house, won't he still try to run the country ...

Fourteen years ago, I underwent two back surgeries. After each, I spent at least a week, prostate on a couch, too doped up with painkillers to do much of anything. What did i do for amusement? I watched tv! Something I'd rarely done in the preceding twenty years! And I discovered it had only gotten worse over that time! But I did learn to use the channel-flicker gadget! But tv aside, there are loads of free browser games on the internet. And there are crossword puzzles to work. And she could always come on this site, to vent her aggravations!

He also said that when he came to America as a child, he expected it to be like in the Western movies and tv shows.The Western genre also became very popular in West Germany during the Cold War. In Stalin's Russia, episodes of the Three Stooges were shown in movie theaters, to illustrate what Americans were like. I don't know. In border towns, there is a lot of back and forth travel between the US and Canada. Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Disneyland, and Hawaii seem to get their fair share of Canadian tourists. Here in Florida, there are lots of Canadian snowbirds, who spend their winters down here. You'd have to explain to them the reasons they shouldn't come!

There were 'dime stores' back then (in lieu of the 'dollar stores' of today). Guns were cheap, and easier to buy. Most American, and Canadian households owned at least a few. The music was better. There were fewer cops (unlike today, where you practically trip over them).There was no police state. The girls were prettier (short skirts, no tattoos or 'whale tails'). Jobs were more plentiful. Cars were cheaper. So were motorcycles. News of horrendous events weren't broadcast 24/7 like today, thus encouraging copycat horrendous deeds.People minded their own business. There were fewer rats and snitches.There were no ccv cameras everywhere. People actually subscribed to, and read newspapers. The War sucked. So did the Draft. But, other than that, 1969 was a pretty good year.
