Retired museum curator/university professor, 66, aging hippie-type, is looking for a fun, upbeat person with a positive outlook on life, similar interests and values (tie-dyed heritage a plus!), who might laugh at my jokes...and make me laugh at hers!
I spend my summer/falls at my house in Kill Devil Hills and the rest of the year at my permanent home in Tucson, AZ. I have a wonderful life and am very fortunate to be able to enjoy it.
While I spent my life being a responsible professional and parent, I have a definite alternative, counter-culture bent. My interests include history, archaeology, left-wing politics, current events. I enjoy reading, NPR, running, camping, hiking, volunteering, beach and surfing, travel, VW buses, music and Arizona Wildcats basketball. I like to make sly jokes. I am an avid reader - not big on television. 5'-10", 165, brown hair and beard. I run 60 miles a month or so and try to keep myself in good shape. I have some strong political opinions and also believe in giving back to the community. I currently volunteer for two archaeological organizations and my neighborhood association..
