I used to hate the intel briefings since there are always 10-20 spots ready to explode at any given time. All we can hope for is containment and control, like battling wildfire.

@puff We have removed hundreds of nuclear weapons from Europe, we used to have more weapons in just Turkey and Greece than we do now in all of Europe. The weapons now are smaller and more accurate. That said, those bombs were made in the 1960s and 70s, their guidance systems have been upgraded, but they are still bombs. The weight of the US nuclear force is not in the paltry forward based weapons, but in our ICBM, SLBMs and manned bomber fleets as well as the ready retired reserve. Nuclear is not a threat unless the US or her allies are struck first.

I shot a lot of black and white when I worked for the newspaper since I could run them through our film processor for free, then just print the good ones. Now it's all thumb drives, memory chips and external hard drives. I can't even imagine what it would have cost me to develop my Yellowstone or Belize pictures, I've got thousands of each and several trips each.
But the staff photographer gave me the best advice I ever got. Just keep shooting and don't wait for the perfect shot, you're going to burn 9 out of 10 anyhow.

While today the outcome is just fine, it was a Rough recovery.
So, whatever happens this Feb.13th will no doubt seem like a day at the beach!!!!!!
