@LucyLoohoo The law was stuck in committee almost the entire legislative session, by the time it came to the floor, it had been changed so many times that no one was really sure what was in it and what the legal ramifications were. It is not uncommon in Texas for many of the local officials to wait untill legislation has passed before they start to dissect it since so much can change once it gets to the joint committee. This is a case where something got snuck through in broad daylight thanks in part to our superb educational system in Texas.

go online to VA.gov and get the process started there. You may also want to get ahold of the local DAV chapter, they can help you through the process, Also you need to request a sleep study if you snore. If you end up with both, that can be up to 60% service connected.

(this does not include the so called upgrades that are normally 5 years tp market.) All research of quality provide high paying jobs immediately, but rate of return is very seldom quick.

It took over 40 years for the private sector to enter into the space industry in any real way, and they still depend heavily on government subsidies. Some basic science is so expensive and lacking in an immediate profit motive, that only governments (the people) can afford to begin them since the payoff may not be for decades. A few examples in this country are the railroads, canals, water projects and airports.

I reckon the USA has this one in the bag! Female athletes (in most sports - a surprising number of "professional" sports women aren't paid at all) definitely need to be paid more. Many male athletes, meanwhile, are paid far more than they're worth.

@ShadowAmicus The only way they are going to be able to get more money is threat of a worldwide strike, since the organizers know they are the only game in town. Un less you understand the economics of sports and labor relations, this will take more time to explain than I have.

If it is a melon, , squash or gourd, the female flowers will come later than the first male flowers. You should be able to tell once the females come out.
glennlab replies on Jul 5, 2019:
@DotLewis Something to watch out for with slow growing members of the squash/gourd family is what is called blossom end rot. This is a softening of the fruit near the blossom, as the fruit starts to mature, there is nothing you can do to reverse it, so pick it and use it. It's still good, but if left on the vine it will rot and you will get nothing but it will tax your mother plant since she is trying to feed it.

glennlab replies on Jul 5, 2019:
@DotLewis As long as pollen will still stick to female parts, it hasn't been fully fertilized yet. You should have male flowers at least 2:1 on the plant so it won't reduce the number for natural pollenation. If the squash starts to wither (it happens more than anyone like to admit) remove it from the vine that will force the plant to put out more fruit to replace it. In small gardens, it's fine to over manage. Keep me posted.

glennlab replies on Jul 5, 2019:
@DotLewis I give people loofa seeds and have to explain that it can be as much as a month from the time that the first male flowers show up and fall off before they finally get a fruit. If you want to insure pollenation, pluck a male flower and rub the female parts with the pollen of the male flower. (it's late and I can't remember the names)

@Arouet It became a contitutional republic in 1944, what is was before that is irrelevant, jsut like Russia became a republic in became in 1991 and France in 1945. And Canada only since 1982 when it was granted full autonomy by the British Parliment.

@MsDemeanour As the second oldest continuous gov't(Britian is oldest) and oldest constitutional government (written) it is easier to teach history since we only have to coverup a few major failings. Few ASmericans can tell you anything about the Articles of Confederation (the orginal contitution) or much except the fairy tales of the revolution. We still view or history through rose colored glasses, so we like most of the rest of the world will be condemned to repeat it until we finally learn our lessons. I'm a history buff and a science nerd, so I really don't fit neatly into boxes. and when you think of the averege intellegence, half the people are dumber than that.
