@MikeInBatonRouge my plants are so well established that i could literally bring a truckload in and barely hurt the passion vine. The caterpillars will hide as far as 50-100 feet from their host plants. Wasps are the natural preditors of the caterpillars and also are very important pollenators.

glennlab replies on Jul 23, 2019:
One the economy is not booming the metrics have been changed so that they no longer even remotely resemble reality. The reason for the decrease in unemployment is that no one is unemployed if they have even one hour per week of paid work. The stock market is proped up by 1 trillion dollars borrowed on the US credit card and given to corps to buy back their own stock, I have no idea what they are including in GNP, but rest assured that it is highly inflated. We have never had as much national debt either as a government or consumers. Two smoke and mirrors abound.

WHAT THE HELLLLLL?
glennlab replies on Jul 19, 2019:
@LucyLoohoo The law was stuck in committee almost the entire legislative session, by the time it came to the floor, it had been changed so many times that no one was really sure what was in it and what the legal ramifications were. It is not uncommon in Texas for many of the local officials to wait untill legislation has passed before they start to dissect it since so much can change once it gets to the joint committee. This is a case where something got snuck through in broad daylight thanks in part to our superb educational system in Texas.

Woody's song has been getting a lot of play these past few years, but only the choir is listening.
Talk about trying to shift blame for passing a law that they didn't understand the ramifications of.

The nice thing about the gov and other pols is that they have zero control over local DAs. The DAs do have control over their own resources and don't want to waste money on a machine that cost several $100 thousand dollars for a low level offense.
How racist is Trump?
chalupacabre comments on Jul 19, 2019:
Another example of whatever he says he is, he's not; whatever he tells you to do, don't. Says he's smart - nope. Says he hires the best - nope. Not a racist - sure about that? "Believe me, . . . . " - not on your life. "Trust me, . . . " - Only when it comes to doing the wrong thing.

@HippieChick58 request one then. Anything that you can think of that MIGHT be service related, that either happened while you were in the service , or got worse while you were in the service. The DAV will normally provide you with someone to walk you through the process (free) and make sure that you get everything you are entitled to.

go online to VA.gov and get the process started there. You may also want to get ahold of the local DAV chapter, they can help you through the process, Also you need to request a sleep study if you snore. If you end up with both, that can be up to 60% service connected.

Horrific. If, the U.S. leaders were truely business women/men, they would recognize that scientific investments yeild a longer and stronger economy. This, as compared to, investing in oligopies such as fossil fools, pharmacy pimps and prison overlords.
glennlab replies on Jul 17, 2019:
@Heathenman I believe you misunderstood my statement, I never stated science was astophysics, indeed I extended it to include the peripheral elements of science. The TVA to make the atomic bomb. If you don't believe that there is science in building, then you are sadly mistaken. Typically pharmaceuticals are 15 years from discovery to market, not exactly a sprint. (this does not include the so called upgrades that are normally 5 years tp market.) All research of quality provide high paying jobs immediately, but rate of return is very seldom quick.

It took over 40 years for the private sector to enter into the space industry in any real way, and they still depend heavily on government subsidies. Some basic science is so expensive and lacking in an immediate profit motive, that only governments (the people) can afford to begin them since the payoff may not be for decades. A few examples in this country are the railroads, canals, water projects and airports.

If they do vote on this and pass an impeachment resolution, I'd lay long odds that Mitch never even brings it to the floor of the senate. Nothing says he HAS to, so I'm betting he'll just kill it rather than making republican senators vote against it.
glennlab replies on Jul 17, 2019:
This is a non binding resolution to give a sense of the house, basicly a vote to see the early vote and whose mind needs to be changed through the investigative process of committee hearings.

They were in an added message, they were the first ones I've seen that I had my camera, first ones were crossing a road in Yellowstone1976, second one was through a rifle scope,1977 (no shot worth taking), and finally at mohave Lake on the AZ side 2019. The second little blue flower is also an added message.
