As someone that worked in the publishing industry, once the book has been typeset, the chance of stopping leaks of its contents are practically 0. We had a legal brief, from the time that the copy was in the computer, there were at least 20 attempts to get an advanced copy prior to release. Reporters called under assumed names trying to find out who did our recycling. One even climbed our fence and dug through our recycle. The firm we were printing for had never seen one of their products not be compromised prior to release. With a normal book there are literally hundreds of unaccounted for copies, not to mention press proofs, advance copies, and the hundreds more already in the pipeline to the sellers. Until the sellers get a cease a desist letter, addressed to them, they are free to sell all copies in their possession.

It's June 17 and I just had to turn on some heat in the house.

It is hard to imagine anyone having consensual sex while in custody. Custody by its nature implies a lack of free will. I have seen rather innovative charges that have been levied in order to get the cop to resign. Wow, talk about privilege. Cop get away with rape, is charged with theft of services, resigns and the charges are dropped, he goes to work for a different LE agency.

I'm going to call bullshit on "a very tiny number" of bad cops. In Baltimore not only did 56 officers step over an injured man, they resigned in solidarity with the bad cops. So in ONE unit 100% of the cops were bad. In Dallas when a cop murdered a man in his own apartment, the entire shift of cops for that section covered for her until the DA charged her, then they told her were to turn herself in so she would be immediately release. It is not just the officer that commits the crime that is bad, every officer that in any way covers it up or does not report it is just as dirty and just as corrupt.

I use 40% vinegar with citric acid added. Spray it on early on a sunny day. Poison Ivy will back down from it. Regular vinegar may control some grasses, but poured into the soil will kill all the beneficial insects and around 90 % of the good microbes.

I layout a basic plan with tons of options. Then I select the options as I go along depending on external pressures. It took me 6 trips to finally see the grand canyon. It was never a destination, always a side trip. I've made it to Yellowstone 15 times out of the 17 times I planned to be there. It comes from being a military planner where there was always not only a plan b, but a c,d,e &f along with the option to scrap it all and plan on how to advance from where we are now, knowing all that we know now.

What you describe has been going on since I joined the site and probably before then. It hurts no one, but can be a little irritating. I think people tend to notice as they become more aware of their own point situation. People nearing 8 often point beg, and most members are happy to help them out.

Body camera on every officer and vehicle, if you turn it off during an arrest, it is a felony and can be used as an affirmative in civil cases for police brutality. I believe this factory is the one that found out about minuscule contamination right after the "new" super sensive DNA tests came out. Seems an employee couldn't handle the bundling of the swabs with gloves on so she didn't wear her gloves. Her DNA contaminated several police swabs, leaving them to look for a serial murder, burgler, rapist. The last one is when they knew it was contamination and not a suspect. Pretty sure they knew that jerky wad would contaminate anything that they ran, so they didn't plan on shipping anything during his visit and then had to decontaminate the entire factory floor again.
