Why I only get messages from people who live 3,000 miles away and are native speakers of Spanish?
glennlab comments on Jun 23, 2019:
I am even more perplexed by the number of "local" women that suddenly are on a "job trip" that has taken them overseas. But I have med perhaps a dozen people that are/were active here and the ones that are willing to meet are more than real and all have been a delight to meet even if it is only for a cup of coffee while I am traveling through the countryside.

Actually since the largest weapon in our inventory is just under 1.5 megatons, he would have had the choice of 4 different nukes, a ton of different conventional weapons as well as some that are prohibited in warfare that we have not signed on to decommission yet. The Tsar Bomba is the largest ever detonated and the B-41 and the Soviet equivalent (25 megs) are the largest ever stockpiled. Mo Bomba is a science fiction megatoy. This president scares me more than any other I have lived under, and that says a lot.

glennlab comments on Jun 22, 2019:
The odds of anything occurring in retrospect are exactly 1:1. Given all the factors, there was no other outcome that was possible. The odds are determined supposing none of those factors would have come into play. We tend to over think dumb luck and downplay prior preparation.
Still funny.

I can't wait for the follow ups. We know that there is no where on earth that life doesn't try to exist, even down to 10,000 feet below the surface in rocks. This could very well show that it is likely on all of the planets that some life exists.

Why do so many people follow up a tweet or a text or a post or a comment with LOL?
glennlab comments on Jun 22, 2019:
I believe it is to keep the few people with no sense of humor at the time from going ballistic and taking a second before they give a snarky reply. You never know what mood the other thousands of people are thinking when you post, so it is a defense mechanism to keep from being attacked.

Been doing that for at least 35 years maybe longer, shaking tomatoes and peppers to pollinate is a very old trick, taught to me when I was a kid, but I didn't start using it until my first adult garden in 77 in Spokane. glennlab comments on Jun 19, 2019:
I love to travel. So far this year I have driven over 15000 miles and 2 plane trips. Some of my best memories with my son have been our road trips. The longest trip we took together was 6 weeks, 7000 miles, 2 foreign countries and 12 states. I still have 2 more road trips planned for this summer and a cruise in the next 14 months. I hate staying at home, just wish I had someone that could travel with me.
