Mother explains why she says virginity doesn't exist - Upworthy
glennlab comments on Nov 29, 2021:
My mother was given little to no sex ed, she was pregnant at 15 and married at 16. She made sure that my sister and I knew as much about sex as she could, she encouraged us to be open about our sexuality and understand that it was a big part of relationships. She was much like @Lauren in that both...
glennlab replies on Nov 29, 2021:
@Lauren Since I was a voracious reader, I already had most of the technical information, but in the 60s even that was heavily biased. Reading Kinsey, and Masters and Johnson in my "office"in our store's warehouse while keeping an ear out for my grandmother was not the best way to learn. It was liberating when I went to live with my mother at 13.
I'm a fan of both.

@LucyLoohoo I had to use algebra and calculus for most of my professional career, I still have my sliderule, though I forget how to use it, but I always had a calculator or two handy. Early in my career, I had to lock up the calculator when I left the office so that people from outside the office would not walk off with it. At the end of my career, I had 4 different calculators depending on what I was doing.

I love pelicans, the fly up to Dallas from the coast to winter over. They can get pretty aggressive down on the gulf coast though
glennlab replies on Oct 31, 2021:
@Heidi68 Think large swans with a huge beak. My house is just under their flight path between the lakes they feed at and the ones they overnight at. The first time I saw them I thought I was seeing things, there were about 20-30 birds in a standard V formation. I had to do more research to satisfy my curiousity.
