Since I worked out of my house for years, I used a lot of different tricks to let people know I was home. Have a cup of coffee on the front porch, inspect plants in the front yard, wander outside when I needed a break. For several years I had a roommate that was the best deterent, think zz top meets grizzly Adams. He would be up every morning at 3 am and would sit on the patio smoking until i got up at 9 or 10, so there was almost always someone outside for people to see.
Oh yeah 👍 that would be wonderful🎃

After my recent burglary, I got a full camera set, 4 of the 16 cameras can be monitored from my phone. Not really what I wanted to do, but with porch pirates and driveway shoppers, I'd like to identify any bad characters.
glennlab replies on Jan 9, 2020:
@Lauren The 16 camera system cost $20 more than the 4 camera system by the same mfg, so it was a no brainer, since I figured I could find a use for the other camera. It was more of a logistical nightmare figuring out how to get the wires through everything. I've got a friend that is going to come over and see if we need to put up any of the others.

I have the beginnings of my hydroponic garden set up. I've only got watercress and parsley in it right now until i can get the other tubes set up. I have a 1600 gallon fish pond that I am using as my water source. Your succulents look great.

@CaroleKay It is definitely a work in progress, this is half the pipes, but only 2 of them are currently hooked up. It is going to be several adjustments before all is right with it. I have a bout 200 goldfish in the pond, so plenty of fertilizer.

@WilliamFleming Louisiana tried to write legislation to limit pit bulls, they failed to even be able to agree on a definition of what constituted a Pit Bull, it is simply not a breed. What they thought was a good definition included mastiffs, boxers, stafforshire terriers, bull dogs and others. 2 it is the owners, not the dogs. The other thing to consider is that there are only about 20 deaths per year from dogs, you should ban airplanes, firearms and eating all of which have a much greater chance of killing someone than any dog attack.

We stopped flying airborne alert in the 1960s due to the number of accidents and upgraded radar as well as minuteman III coming online. AB-52 can carry 12 ALCMs on the wings, 8 ALCMs internal, . It takes 12-18 hours to convert from nuclear mode to/from conventional mode. Max conventional payload currently is less than 63,000 pounds because of internal configurations of the H model.

It's an obvious lame attempt by the outlaws in W.H to go after Iran's OIL .No American Blood for ExxonMobile, BP or Gulf..
glennlab replies on Jan 6, 2020:
It is not to pump more oil, it is to take production out of the world market, even with Venezuela taken out of the mix, we still have a worlfwide surplus of production keeping prices low. Sanctions are not working to keep Iran's oil out of the market, so like Iraq, an invasion will be necessary to stop production. Anyone else remember $150 bbl oil during the Iraq invasion?
