This obviously comes with the caveat of if I change things my kids wouldn't exist etc. So anyway, the one thing I would change, if I could, was to not be so lost and heart broken after breaking up with someone that then got in the way of me finding someone else for years, and there were opportunities that I passed by or fucked up as a result of this near obsession.

This is a major rant about men not reading profiles.

I can't really add much to the other comments but he's an ex for a reason and you're not defective you're human with all the frailties and second guessing that comes with being one. Probably at primary school, aged about 7 or 8, when I was told that not going to church was a mortal sin the same as murder. As soon as my vocabulary had developed enough I found that the word bullshit was the most appropriate. From that age on I found everything questionable and the more I looked into it, and I did for many years, the more I realised it (religion etc) didn't stand up under the slightest scrutiny.

In the UK we have an increasing awareness of proper disposal and recycling. We have black bag (Seagull proof for those of us on the coast) or black wheelie bins for general waste collected every two weeks, green bags (seagull proof) or green wheelie bins for recyclables collected every other week, a blue bag (seagull proof) or insert for the wheelie for cardboard collected on recycling day and a food waste bin collected every week. I've really got into recycling and reusing. It's almost like my OCD gene (only a small one) has plonked itself in my reuse thought processing and it's now becoming a challenge to resue as much as I can. I'm part of a community gardening project that makes small wooden garden ornaments out of recycled wood like old pallets, we now recycle the recycled so that we'll modify something to sell if it hasn't sold before. e.g squirrel feeders don't sell all that well so we'll modify them into bird boxes and bug boxes which do better. :-)

A dusty old book on the shelf that barely had any meaning for me as a child, also Catholic, but ceased to have any meaning at all many years ago. I've also come to a sort of conclusion that the ancients, not having TV or books (for the most part) used the spoken word for entertainment, therefore story tellers were popular people to have around. The Bible is a collection of those stories, a sort of written record of the TV soaps of thier day and like the soaps of today, not to be taken very seriously :-)
