My father was a lifelong Republican, and at least fourth generation deacon in a Southern Baptist Church. My brother became an ordained Southern Baptist Minister, but gave that up when the Southern Baptist Convention became too right wing. He also told me a couple of years ago that he had vote Republican all his life until McCain chose Palin for VP. In 2016 he would have voted for Bernie Sanders if Bernie had been on the ballot in the general election. The real truth is that my brother and the others have not really changed that much. It's more like the rest of their world moved too far right for their comfort.

I've posted something like this before, but it bares repeating. My idea of justice: After an investigation proving that the 2016 election was interfered with, including ballot count manipulation, the new President issues an executive order declaring the results a fraud. Since anything based on a fraud has no legal standing, that would immediately nullify everything done by Trump and his entire administration, including ALL of his judicial appointments. Of course this would be appealed, but Trump's appointees on the Supreme Court would have to recuse themselves due to obvious conflict of interest and the EO would get at least a 4-3 vote so it would stand. Of course reversing everything would be a massive undertaking and would require a specially appointed committee to oversee the work. Who better to head the committee than Barack Obama. Meanwhile, Trump has been convicted of crimes in NY state court an is residing in the state corrections facility in Clinton NY. He has a 50" screen in his cell tuned 24/7 to CNN which broadcasts in great detail everything Obama is doing to totally wipe out Trump's work. The final chapter is the conviction in federal court of Trump, Ivanka, Junior, and Eric on treason charges. He gets to watch the three of them being executed before meeting his own end.

mcgeo52 replies on Jul 9, 2019:
@St-Sinner, I have to call BULLSHIT on your "concern" about the law. The law says: 8 USC 1158 (a) Authority to apply for asylum (1) In general Any alien who is physically present in the United States or who arrives in the United States (whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), irrespective of such alienโ€™s status, may apply for asylum in accordance with this section or, where applicable, section 1225(b) of this title. Those people in the camps are here **legally** under federal law and international treaties. Sending them back without due process would be a violation of the Constitution, not to mention the fact it could possibly cost them their lives. That is not an exaggeration; there are documented cases where it has happened And while they are here, they are entitled to equal protection under the law, including the laws against kidnapping and child abuse, which you conveniently ignore. How much do you really care about the law??? That is very obviously nothing but a BULLSHIT argument on your part. You have shown yourself to be as mentally and morally challenged a monster as Trump. Take your xenophobic, hate filled BS and crawl back under your rock.

@St-Sinner, take your false equivalency elsewhere. I have been posting for years about how the people who have fought for this country deserve to be rewarded with citizenship. That is no excuse, zero, for what is happening in Trump's concentration camps. You say, " I worry about the American policy as a whole. The policy is compassionate, helpful and the world recognizes that." Those camps are screaming otherwise and the world is hearing the message loud and clear. And why are those people risking their lives and the lives of their children to exercise their legal right to seek asylum? Could it be because our meddling in their countries has created a situation that is worse than **anything** they will face if they leave? And when our State Department tried to implement programs to improve the situation in those countries so we would have fewer refugees, Trump blocked them. **He wants this "crisis". He created it. He is using it to play morons like you like cheap violins.**

That is not my opinion. That is a direct quote of the applicable federal statute (i.e., 8USC 1158( a )( 1 )). @brentan, start with the statute: **8 U.S. Code ยงโ€ฏ1158. Asylum ( a ) Authority to apply for asylum (1) In general** Any alien who is physically present in the United States or who arrives in the United States (whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), irrespective of such alienโ€™s status, may apply for asylum in accordance with this section or, where applicable, section 1225( b ) of this title. If they are here to apply for asylum, they have the legal right to do so. Trump is taking people who have reached the US and requested asylum and sending them back to Mexico. He has no legal right to do that. Once they have applied for asylum, they are entitled to a hearing, and to remain in the US until the conclusion of the hearing. While in the US they are protected by the Bill of Rights and the rest of the Constitution.

@IamNobody, how many Trump supporters have to call themselves Nazis? How many Nazis does Trump have to call fine people? As for the camps, people who were in concentration camps are saying that the children are being held in concentration camps. And Webster's defines concentration camp as: a place where large numbers of people (such as prisoners of war, political prisoners, refugees, or the members of an ethnic or religious minority) are detained or confined under armed guard. place - check large numbers of people - check refugees - check detained or confined - check armed guard - check AOC was absolutely correct.

@altschmerz, Obama was aware of Russian interference in the election. He informed the Congressional leaders. McCornhole said that if Obama went public with it he would claim it was a politically motivated move. Look closer into McCornhole's ties with Russia. And look closely at the fact that he is the one person doing everything he can to block fair elections. He has some interesting ties to some of the companies that make the actual voting equipment. Whether he knew specifics about the Russian involvement, he was aware of it. That is a matter of record. He also, per the evidence, was aware the election would not go to Hillary. Whether that would be because of Russia, or Diebold I don't know. The point is that he knew our government was under a very insidious attack and he gave aid and comfort to those attacking us. That is treason.

@altschmerz, think about that for a second. At the time McCornhole blocked Garland, Hillary was a 90%+ favorite to win the election. She would most likely just nominate Garland or someone else even less acceptable to Bitch. What possible reason could he have for expending that amount of political capital, for a full year, just to lose? The only way it makes any sense from a political standpoint is if Bitch McCornhole *knew* (against 90%+ odds) that Hillary would not be elected. If he knew that, as the evidence strongly argues, then he is a traitor and deserves to be executed.
