I'm a working straight shooter. I hate drama / games -- honestly, look elsewhere if that's your thing. Most people consider me friendly and kind, sometimes a bit shy, but generally outgoing.
I have two boys, both done with college, so I live mostly alone in a 3 bedroom house. Note that I list myself as "Doesn't have kids" because they're no longer regularly living with me. This site should have a way of specifying something like "Has no kids living at home," or, even better, a way of specifying # of children and their ages and living statuses. I'm sorry, but I'm not willing to go back to raising children. If you have kids living with you that are less that, say, 15 years old, I'm probably not the right person for you. I served my time.
I enjoy building things; with wood or other materials, and software. I'm not good at being idle for long periods -- I tend to find things to do. It seems that there are always projects that need attention, and that I spread myself too thin.
I'm divorced twice, and never want to do that again. That's not to say that I'll never marry again, but when I do, I want to be damn sure that it's the right person and that it's got a real chance of lasting a lifetime.
The ideal partner would be just that -- a partner. I don't want a roommate -- I want somebody that I can share my life with, all of it. No, I don't think that I'll find somebody with the exact same interests, but really want somebody who shares many of them. Ideally, the person would be willing to get dirty building or fixing things together. Other pluses would be somebody that enjoys outdoor activities -- I enjoy kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc.
I tend to remain calm in most situations, and can probably count on one hand the number of times that I've raised my voice in the past year. I dislike fighting or being angry, and I absolutely abhor violence.
Oh, I'm a fan of the Green Bay Packers (born and raised in Wisconsin, after all). Not generally a sports fan (OK, really not) except for the Packers. I do plan my Sundays, however, around the Packer's schedule. Don't say that I didn't warn you.
