@Flowerwall According to the attached graph, that list would be Germany, South Korea, maybe Italy. (Probably China too). As to the governors, NY, NJ and CA have done as well as they could with limited resources and open travel. NY and CA have sought to enact their own programs of testing, and track and trace where feasible. The Northeast states have also had minimal effect so far, though probably more due to using masks, SD. The inability to limit travel or to enact test/track/trace makes it a near lost-cause.

I am hoping that somewhere in the FBI or in another agency, a counter-intelligence investigation is ongoing. Plainly a lot of senators and representatives are compromised. Somehow, these people would be notified that the jig is up and invited to leave or else. Following that purge, announcements would be made disclosing that Trump and McConnell were working as stooges and following Putin's orders. That being the case, all judicial appointments would also come under review by the new administration and those that were obviously not qualified or culturally inappropriate (wing nuts) would be out of a job. That's my fantasy best case scenario.

@glennlab It is my understanding that the THC/CBD and terpenes are within the trichomes. You don't get too many trichomes on the males. I have attached a picture that shows these on a flower. You may have to zoom in. Trichomes are a general class of structures that protrude from leaf surfaces. https://www.medicaljane.com/2017/03/11/trichomes/ As for the regularly spaced large white dots, I tried to research what those are and couldn't find anything. It may be at a scale that no one has bothered to name them. I don't know what those are. I don't believe they are insect eggs. They are on all of the pollen sacs and I believe they are part of the sacs, purpose unknown. They are much bigger than the pollen. On the picture with the ruler, the pollen are quite tiny. I estimated them to be 43 microns or micrometers, though I saw a picture that suggested they were more like 22 um.

Plainly Trump has made a large number of very strategic moves. The moves are so strategic that they appear far outside the competence of Trump's team. Given that Trump is a proven stooge for Putin, these moves are best understood as having come from Putin. It boggles one's credulity that Trump would slow-walk the pandemic response on Putin's instructions. Apparently he is utterly devoid of patriotism even as he wraps himself in the flag. It is a level of hypocrisy that is breathtaking in its extremity. I am inclined to agree with your inference, Trump has the attitude that those dying are expendable. As people leave the churches, and non-white populations expand, red states will shift purple and even anti-abortion laws will be eliminated. It will be a short, if obnoxious revolution. Christianity will revert to the weirdo cult it really is.

It reminds me of my refinery days when we were tasked to find every possible fault and how to deal with it. One of the rules was to forego double jeopardy where two elements failed at the same time, because that created an exponentially large set of failure modes to address. The problem here is that we are dealing with human agency (Putin) intent on exploiting multiple faults simultaneously. Again, the better analogy is the Stuxnet attack on Iran's nuclear processing. The virus exploited multiple zero-day defects, meaning they had never been deployed before and thus no countermeasures were present to stop them.

That was my first guess. The problem with that is the lack of Christian mention. Also, there's a general lack of referencing the extreme racism and bigotry of Trump. Christians are self-conscious about their bigotry and DO try to hide it, unless that's the focus, as with the Klan. Similarly, Q pretends to a degree of ecumenism, even depicting Muslims is an inoffensive light. Putin wouldn't do that.

@K9Kohle789 @St-Sinner Trump is in this for his lifetime, not just the next four years. Who can and will stand up to Trump as he completes his power grab? What could the Supreme Court, Election Commission, FBI or even CIA do? The FBI is under Barr, so it's not clear they could do anything without Barr stopping them. Anyone who shows opposition can be fired. Or killed. Probably some elements of the real Deep State could stop Trump, but I think they're the ones who put him in there. The Deep State is fickle, and have their own agenda apart from Trump, Putin or even the U.S. As it becomes clear that Trump is seeking to install himself as king, some elements of the military might revolt, but they would be entirely on their own, acting as a rogue entity without orders or chain-of-command. And they would be fighting militias, not only from Barr, but potentially secreted into the country by Putin to maintain control. As I say, the GRU has been working non-stop to figure all the contingencies and prepare against them. I'd like to believe that the actual population would turn out against Trump and march against the White House. I'm afraid of what the GRU will do in that case. They might bomb the shit out of them in a callous display of force. This is WAR, make no mistake about it. It's war we've never seen before, and it's clear we're not prepared.

Trump had done so much evil before he was elected, his presidency casts a very dark shadow on the U.S. The Trump supporters are stupid, cult-loyal, often disordered, often psychopaths, morally degenerate, and a whole lot more. Many of them don't deserve to breathe, and are a danger to the rest of us. Their presence in such numbers strongly argues against the notion of democracy. @LucyLoohoo I have no proof, purely my speculations. I strongly suspect Kirsten Gillibrand given how New York is so corrupted with Russian mafia, her success, and her dishonest behavior. The vengeance with which she destroyed Al Franken is not forgivable. He was way too valuable an asset to be thrown under the bus. Another likely suspect is Tulsi Gabbard. She was outed by Hillary at one point, but she has sat next to Putin and met with Assad (See link). Every one of the politicians that went on the NRA junket to Moscow should be put in a cell. Sadly, only the Deep State could root out these creeps, but they're the entity that wrote traitor Trump into the script. I get that women want someone strong to protect them, but "strong" men are often abusive, and once women give their heart away, they get stuck in a situation they have difficulty leaving. Too many of them will accept being battered. Life is too wonderful and short to endure that.

@Birdman1 Quite a few descendants of the Holocaust have become "Self-Hating Jews". Now they can express that hatred in a myriad of ways, but pretty often, being anti-Semitic is part of it. I've run across it in a bunch of college professors, i.e. ultra-liberal profs in Women's Studies. Some of them have fanatical support for the Palestinians. I guess that the Holocaust functioned as a repudiation of the religion they'd been brainwashed with as kids. They like the identification as being Jewish, but not the horror of having ones relatives murdered for the sake of politicized Christian bigotry. The added insult is the storyline wherein Jews deem themselves to be a superior genetic group, but were murdered with the claim that they were somehow inferior. Another toxic meme is how, In the U. S., the girls were raised as Disney Princesses, and told that they should hold out for doctors or lawyers (princes). Lots of fertile ground to create trauma. Based on the accounts, Miller has a strong case of OCD, and thus has a psychotic need to impose some sort of order, and probably has guilt for subscribing to the same absolutist attitudes the Nazis embraced. Note that in terms of politics, only a minority of American Jews, usually Reform, have liberal politics. However they are more vocal than the rest. racocn8 replies on Jul 14, 2020:
@AnneWimsey It has been a little while since I saw the article, and firstly, I may have misrepresented because this only works on rhinoviruses (40% of colds). Apparently, they do all share a common feature which is a cleft in a critical protein. The cure is a drug which is not toxic, etc. and binds irreversibly into this cleft such that, while bound, changes the three-dimensional conformation. This change stops the protein from functioning, and the virus is no longer infectious. I gather that UCI is pursuing a similar strategy on Covid's protease. I expect this is being sought for the spike protein too. It is no small feat to find a molecule with all the electromagnetic features in the right 3D shape, and, not be toxic in some way. Obviously, this is a task for supercomputers, but still not at all simple or even straightforward. You don't want to know how the immune system develops binding for unknown antigens. Unbelievable. Evolution to the rescue... again!!! (Hint: variable and hypervariable DNA regions).

racocn8 replies on Jul 13, 2020:
Actually, the cold is either a rhino virus 40% or Coronavirus 20%. An anti-viral agent is being developed that should be effective for ALL the rhinoviruses! A similar technique should be possible for the coronaviruses; just not that quickly, unfortunately. I've been led to understand that a vaccine for covid would confer longer lasting immunity. The problem is this thing mutates frequently, so it is unclear if the vaccine will be effective for newer strains.

@HippieChick58 @AnneWimsey However, the 3 million cases number is believed to be undercounting the true number by ten times. That makes the mortality rate more like 0.4%. @AnneWimsey Several categories of biochemical differences may be seen between 'races'. The DNA is different, buy these difference are extremely slight. Note, I don't acknowledge that different races exist. Perceptions of races are based on superficial characteristics that are almost never significant. However, those differences DO reflect biochemical and genetic differences. Different people have different Human Leukocyte Antigens, and these associate with different gene sets that may be marshalled against infections. The many types of HLA's are not evenly distributed across the world, and do associate with different demographics. While these different genes may make a difference when fighting an infection, they only rarely impact organ or blood donation. Matching HLA does reduce organ rejection. Some Blacks have sickle cell anemia genes that provide improved survival against sleeping sickness. From the CDC: The U.S. incidence estimate for sickle cell trait (based on information provided by 13 states) was 73.1 cases per 1,000 black newborns, 3.0 cases per 1,000 white newborns, and 2.2 cases per 1,000 Asian or Pacific Islander newborns. The incidence estimate for Hispanic ethnicity (within 13 states) was 6.9 cases per 1,000 Hispanic newborns.

From the article: "There is no genetic test that can predict Covid-19 risk. " Even though the article notes the higher mortality among non-whites. While some of that mortality may be linked to poor health factors derived from non-white culture or lower economics. The author asserts without evidence that it is due to spread within low-income locations. I would counter, without evidence, that non-whites may well be more susceptible for purely genetic reasons. The history of disease spreading and inflicting high mortality among indigenous peoples is also well recorded. If whites are more successful at surviving Covid, it is more likely to be PARTLY due to whites having encountered similar diseases in the past. Those past pandemics would have killed off the more susceptible gene carriers.

All very good points but I would like to add that the minute he is NOT POTUS...NY is going to be slamming his bloviated ASS with Indictments for TAX EVASION...and the minute that happens the proverbial "cat" is out of the bag for all his financial dealings...that will open the floodgates of exposure...

@Powder I'm pretty sure that the Iranian general was killed for the benefit of MBS. The General was heavily involved in the Saudi war in Yemen. This was partly payback for the bombing of the Saudi refineries (That the General arranged). What did Trump get out of it? Money.

Seriously? The CIA just made it for whatever reasons? I suppose they could, but would they? Maybe they wanted to force Trump's hand? It is such an extreme claim, that drops the falsity probability a lot. Mainly, though, it doesn't change anything regarding Russia, Putin, the Taliban, or even ...

That is because the only assholes left inside the Evangelical movement are Nazi wannabee's.(or at least those who have no problem with the Nazi value system, which was largely based on Christian values to begin with.).
I got around to setting up my computer microscope and took these.

Those pictures look like sections of leaves. I wonder what the Buds would look like under the Microscope. I remember having a cheap, little microscope when I was a kid. I would look at all kinds of things, like dirt and was amazed at the little things that you couldn't see with only your eyes. ...

Very good photos of those trichomes. Which microscope do you use?

I bought this as a gift that never got given. Otherwise, I'd have something a bit better, but for under $30, very worth it. I have to see how long it stays working. My experience with the $100 range is they last a year. https://www.lightinthebox.com/en/p/adjustable-8-led-1000x-usb-digital-microscope-endoscope-loupe-otoscope-magnifier-with-stand_p2664546.html?currency=USD=bing_shopping=us=bingshopping=cpc=bingshopping&=bing=cpc==%5BEN%5D%5BBSC%5D%5BLITB%5D%5Bc2619%5D%5BP%26E%5D(US)(shopping)(L1)=1e8fad7b28b817ee84def38ca5fd331e

I once receive a message (it must have been from "god") at 4am one morning. The message was, "All religious are bullshit. Don't believe any of it." So, now I am enlightened. Or perhaps just deluded.
racocn8 replies on Jun 25, 2020:
Everyone believes religions, that is, other religions, are bullshit. Believing your own religion is right and all the other ones are wrong, is not just bullshit, its dim, deluded, retarded, asinine, moronic, effed-up, etc.
