Trump. and before him, Creationism. Creationism/Christianity fostered a hatred of science and scientists among the Evangelicals for more than 100 years. The anti-abortion movement taught Christians to hate doctors and medical science, including bombing clinics and killing doctors. Knowing Evangelicals made up his base, and being an asshole, Trump sought to downplay Covid, saying it was just a cold. Instead, he tried to make money off it, investing in people who promised a test, but couldn't deliver. His delays and petulant defiance set the country to be hit hard. Then he politicized mask wearing. Even out of office, his minions flooded the Internet with misinformation about the vaccines. It was always all about money and power. A million people died for his greed. And a million grieving families have been told to blame the democrats and scientists. Yeah, it's all Fauci's fault.

Sitting on a high pass overlooking the green valley below (Cone Peak, CA), a wart hog killed me in his sights, and then glided into the valley below. I didn't hear anything until he was past. The A10 finally drifted out of the valley and pulled up along the oceans surface. Probably came from the Hunter-Leggitt base not too far away.
