I just survived grad school! Teaching sociology, writing, blogging, occasionally going outside.
I have a silly sense of humor and use it with reckless abandon.
I have worked in retail and food long enough to collect all the life lessons a person could ever want or need. I have an innate ability to know when someone is about to throw a sandwich.
I spend a fair amount of time being social, but I am usually just weird and awkward enough keep things interesting.
I'm a weird person sometimes, but not that weird. I just enjoy crowds, found object art, electronic music (and most all music, really), and talking to people I disagree with. Also fascinated by beliefs, so I still enjoy talking the folks with wildly different beliefs from my own.
I was once a Catholic, until about the of thirteen. I thought I was a witch, or mystic, or whatever you want to call that. I was also heavily invested in conspiracy theories as a means of making the world make sense when it refused do so. Whenever I hear other people speaking through those perspectives, I recognize a bit of my own past.
I am a fan of nonsensical humor, polyrhythm, dark wit, passion, empathy, and genuine connections with other organisms.
Please tell me about the last thing you obsessed about enough to follow it down an internet rabbit-hole, or the last song you played on repeat.
