It's a redistribution of wealth ceremony. Once a family reaches a certain status they are compelled by their culture to give everything away. Then relatives and friends help them begin rebuilding again. A way to keep any member of the community from getting to powerful or thinking to highly is themselves. There are times when evolution cannot keep up with environmental stresses and changes. If the inner ear bacteria, otitis media bacteria, took it's own evolutionary change, it's possible that it became viral enough to imperil Neanderthal. Given that an ear infection in and of itself, may not be enough. But given environmental changes that were occurring at the time Neanderthals perished, and the stress created by competition by Homo sapien sapien. the two factors may have acted in conjunction to expedite Neanderthals extinction.

One of the posts I read indicated that being an atheist or an agnostic is a choice we make.
t1nick comments on Oct 21, 2019:
We are born into a society that inundates us daily with references to a Christian God. It's on our money, it's in our pledge, most patriotic songs include a reference to Christian God. Our politicians and media personalities make numerous references. It's written into most movie, tv, and visual media scripts. My point, given that we are subjected to direct and indirect constant bombardment concerning a Christian God from birth to adulthood, is it any wonder why people buy in. Regardless how rational one is, to overcome that type of cultural indoctrination is difficult. To deny and reject is more than most people can accept. Therefore, getting back to original post, I see becoming atheism and agnosticism is definitely a choice.

THE CONCEPT OF NOTHING.
t1nick comments on Oct 20, 2019:
Scientists do not claim that the Big Bang came out of nothing. What we don't know is what came before because the actual Big Bang event destroyed the evidence of what existed prior. That doesn't mean it came out of nothing. As I understand it, in order to have something (as opposed to nothing) one must have both time and matter. One doesn't have time until you have matter moving through space to obviate time. If the Universe is expanding as hypothesized by science, then the Universe must have a edge. If it has an edge and is expanding, then there must be a point in which it has not reached. Without having reached beyond the edge, then matter is missing. Therefore, without matter no time exists yet. Therefore it doesn't exist yet. Therefore, beyond the edge of the Universe is nothing. The only exception I can think of, is if black matter is totally ubiquitous and exists regardless of the expanse of the Universe. The inability to percieve does not negate the premise.

We're a middle finger to the current sociopolitical landscape and practices found in the cosmetics industry. We pride ourselves on taking action and putting our money where our mouth is. While trends may come and go, we believe questioning the world around us and working towards improving society will always be “in vogue.” Expect us to provide the best possible products, and to work hard towards solving the issues you care about. Join Lipslut on our path to changing the world one face at a time. What is Lipslut’s long-term vision? We want Lipslut to be a movement that you are genuinely proud to stand behind. With your help, we believe Lipslut will become a household name for progressives and conservatives alike, albeit for different reasons. From there, we’ll use our platform to shake things up for the better. We plan to work with you through social media to offer a broad range of quality cosmetics, and to continue to help the causes you care about. Consider yourself a part of the team. Why are we doing this? Let’s just say we aren’t too pleased with our current sociopolitical landscape, and the standards of the cosmetics industry in general. Chances are you aren’t either. I'm beginning an attempt to look at the credibility of sources referenced on this site. There are a lot of references to videos, articles, magazines, and such, many of which are little more than rants by individuals that have opinions, but no viable credibility. So here is the scoop on truthdig.com. MISSION Truthdig, founded in 2005 by Publisher Zuade Kaufman and Editor in Chief Robert Scheer, is dedicated to reporting on current issues that are insufficiently covered by mainstream media. The website’s mission is to dig beneath the headlines, provide expert reporting and commentary from a progressive point of view and offer an outlet for original work by exceptional journalists. Truthdig’s team is composed of writers and editors who have worked for The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the New York Daily News and other major publications. Guiding the staff is Robert Scheer, an award-winning journalist with more than 50 years’ experience. Unlike at most media companies, ads and the income they produce do not play a big role in Truthdig’s operation. The site is not influenced by advertisers or shareholders and is not controlled by any outside entity. This independence gives us great freedom and great responsibility. Once again good choice.

It's interesting when new sites pop up on the site. Sometimes they are legitimate, and sometimes like a lot of our conservatives offer us , are bunk. It's always good to check references and the credibility of a source. Having said that her is a background on the BC magazine, the Tyee: The Tyee does not make a profit. Every dollar we receive we invest in journalism. About half of our budget is supported by funding from Eric Peterson and Christina Munck, who live in British Columbia and who also fund, through their charity the Tula Foundation, the Hakai Institute and Hakai Magazine in B.C. Their demands of The Tyee are simply journalistic excellence and independence. They exert zero influence on editorial decision-making. The next largest stream of Tyee revenue comes from our Builders — you who contribute dollars even though we have no paywall. (Thanks for keeping The Tyee available to all!) Our smallest fractions of revenue come from advertisers and project partners who pass our strict values filter. Those who don’t, we are able to reject because of our financial independence. The Tyee is currently structured as a for-profit business. However, we now are working towards twin goals: become a non-profit organization that is majority reader funded. We welcome your help in getting there soon! https://thetyee.ca/About/Us/ Good choice.

Here is a description (probably more info than what's requested, sorry) of the telescope's location: The telescope must be kept very cold in order to observe in the infrared without interference, so it will be deployed in space near the Earth–Sun L2 Lagrangian point, and a large sunshield will keep its mirror and instruments below 50 K (−220 °C; −370 °F). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Webb_Space_Telescope In celestial mechanics, the Lagrangian points (/ləˈɡrɑːndʒiən/ also Lagrange points,[1] L-points, or libration points) are the points near two large bodies in orbit where a smaller object will maintain its position relative to the large orbiting bodies. At other locations, a small object would go into its own orbit around one of the large bodies, but at the Lagrangian points the gravitational forces of the two large bodies, the centripetal force of orbital motion, and (for certain points) the Coriolis acceleration all match up in a way that cause the small object to maintain a stable or nearly stable position relative to the large bodies. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagrangian_point Each stable point forms one tip of an equilateral triangle having the two massive bodies at the other vertices. In the Earth-Sun system the first (L1) and second (L2) Lagrangian points, which occur some 1,500,000 km (900,000 miles) from Earth toward and away from the Sun, respectively, are home to satellites. https://www.britannica.com/science/Lagrangian-point

Jihad Report: The Religion of Peace and total suppression::: September, 2019 Attacks 125 Killed...
t1nick comments on Oct 5, 2019:
TheReligionofPeace TROP is a non-partisan, fact-based site which examines the ideological threat that Islam poses to human dignity and freedom. Isn't interesting the name of the organization spells Trop(e)? A non-partisan site the insinuates it's own bias in its bio description. The use of the word "threat" in its bio description actually screams preconceived bias. By it's own admission it's only looking for negative stories to display and focus upon. Not a site to be fully trusted.
Opinions | It was never about ‘America First.’ It’s always been Trump first.

He's a gangster. Why would a gangster be interested in anything more than his personal enterprise. It has been claimed, and I don't think so unbelievably so, that Trump only ran to improve his marketing brand. Name recognition by claiming he ran. He never expected to win the election, just reap the rewards for his company logo from being associated with running.
Shocking Study Shows Fracking Is Depleting US Drinking Water Sources at a Catastrophic Rate
t1nick comments on Oct 5, 2019:
The fracking opponents will fanatically deny this is happening. Given the host of super-toxic chemicals used and then are re-entered into the well for ease of disposal at the wells end, it's no wonder that case after case of cancer appearances are associated with fracking well proximity. Most of the chemicals being used are carcinogens. I worked in the oil field many moons ago. During this stint I witnessed how cavalier the oil site workers are about what they do with their waste and waste by-products. It's not too far a reach to believe the practices have gotten much better. I hate to say it, but it's the nature of many, if not most. individuals who work in the patch not to be concerned with what their industry does to the environment. Despite what proponents claim, it is not unusual for well casings to crack over time and upward migration of toxic chemicals pumped downhill occurs. Even if the abandoned well is cemented in. Things got better under Clinton, Bush, and Obama. But with the decimation of the EPA and regulations under this butthead (Trump, that is), I would not be surprised if things were back to the way they were under Reagan. A sorry state for sure. If you don't think so, ask Pennsylvania as their residents light their tap water each day.
So my bf, Frankie, has expressed to me his opinion that I shouldn't be posting pics here anymore.

The posse comitatus I believe is part of the 2 and Amendment to the Constitution. It serves to limit or regulate what a militia can or cannot do. Like Trump using the military to build the border wall goes against the posse comitatus provision. I think that's how it works.

Agree. A desire not to be judged or proselytized is not discrimination against religion.

Greater than 85% of the world's scientists from all disciplines believe in climate change science. The majority of research reports that argue against climate change and global warming are funded by the oil, gas. and coal industrues who have something substantial to loose if climate science is accepted and accordingly policy is enacted.

If it moves into to only slightly warmer waters, it will melt and add to the total ocean volume. I hardly doubt that is will remain in one place forever. Ocean currents are constantly on the move, so it doesn't make sense to assume it won't move with the currents.

Amber Guyger, Ex-Dallas Officer Who Killed Botham Jean, Found Guilty Of Murder : NPR
t1nick comments on Oct 1, 2019:
The one thing I find interesting. I agree from her testimony as reported that she is guilty. But I find intetesting is that she is one of the few white policeman to be convicted since Fergusin or Travon Martin. Not only that, but she is a female. How many white male policeman have been charged for murder, but exonerated and found justified? Hmmmm, a female, guilty, perhaps a correlation there. Maybe if she had been a male they would have found her justified.

I think most rational and observant people have realized his illiteracy since 2016. It's been painfully obvious ever since he began to run and address the public without ad libbing or speaking extemporaneously.
