Depends upon your carrier and plan. I got rid of my cable a year and a half ago. I tried my Apple TV, but my satellite wifi carrier did not have the bandwidth, and the extra data plan wouldnt improve that any. I have studied six languages over years: I lived in a Hispanic community so I picked up a lot of Spanish off the street (especially the cuss words) that is before I took college courses in it. In high school I took French and German. In college I studied, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. When I taught on the Hopi Reservation I formally studied Hopi. Now I'm on the Navajo Rez., and last year took a college course in conversational Navajo. Fluid in none. I have used the Spanish, French, German, Hopi, and Navajo. I would recommend Brazilian Portuguese, it's a beautiful language, a mixture of Spanish, French and indigenous languages of Brazil.

Do you know any native or near native Spanish speaker (s). If you do get them to make you a poster that states your classroom rules in both Spanish snd English. Place it prominantly in the front of your class somewhere easily visible to all students. Then when a student violates one of the rules, English speaker or Spanish speaker, say their name and walk over to the poster and point to the infraction. At the bottom of the poster add the line, "You only get on verbal warning. Next one has consequences". In doing this you have given all speakers a fsir warning about your rules snd expectations. Also if a parent challenges, you have visual proof that the student had ample warning. If you can afford it, have someplace like Staples or Office Max make a nice, clean poster. It carries more authority than a hand written.

You do have a legitimate issue. I also come from Colorado and got one of my degrees from University of Ilinois instead of Indiana. I just returned from a visitl with my sister in Denver. I have been an atheist for over 40 years. My sister was an indifferent Christian follower until she married my brother-law. She became a staunch Baptist. Visiting was difficult as it was expected that God ran their household. They would not even entertain the concept of atheism. It was an uncomfortable visit and it be awhile before I go back for a visit. My point, is its not always possible to change some persons minds. Be prepared for a long adjustment period to you being an adult and you're being an atheist is an adult decision on your part. Good luck.

The way was paved for him by Obama. Trump's policies have encouraged big business to re-invest and expand. He deserves credit for encouraging this stimulation. But it would not have been posdible had nit Obama recovered and stabilized the economy after the great recession on 2008. Trump could not have accomplished what Obama did, he's not intelligent enough to have handled that crisis. Along with that, at what cost is this new economic stimulation going to cost us in quality of life down the line. The recovery and stimulation is a short term fix. The sacrifices we are making to civil liberties, the environment, to the widening rich to poor gap, may take decades to repair, if at all possible. You notice the majority that tout Trump's economic success are primarily 35 to 60 year old white males (a minority of the population). There are by far a much larger segment of the population which are feeling the burn.

I began my first fast back when Dick Gregor was fasting for protest in the 1970's. I made it two weeks and it want easy. THerr are a lot of misconception surrounding fasting. There's a right way and a wrong way to do it. It's a goid way to clean your system of toxins and unnecessary fat if done correctly.

Stacey48, as you are probably aware ravens are very important to the cultures found throughout the Southwest. The Native cultures abound in raven and crow stories. They portend good luck and often time a messanger from beyond. The Puebloan people's of New Mecico, the Navajo, and the various Apache tribes all have a rich story lore around ravens. I do not know about the Pima and Papago tribes nearest you, but suspect they do. There is a lot of good popular and scholarly literature readily available. On a more scientific note, ravens are known as tool makers. They are one of the few animals outside of primates that purposefully use and modify local materials to make tools. They modify twigs and branches to make a prod to stick down ant or termite holes to get food. They have been documented as having modified the stick for the job. They also have a sophisticated language structure. Go to birdnote.com and search their podcast selection for their talk on raven laguage. Podcast are only 2 minutes long each.

Actually, Jewish is not a race technically. There is no race specific gene in the human genome. Because humans have become so ubiquitous across the Esrth, evety groups of DNA have ultimately been shared with all other group' DNA.. Therefore it is quite accurate to say there is no such thing as "race" in humans. Races do occur in the animal kingdom. But it usually takes populations becoming isolated for thousands of years before they can be considered a distinct race. Their Gene Pool must have changed enough from the original population such that it is uniquely and distinctly diiferent. What makes groups of people do different. One is Natural Selection. Groups living closer to the equator produce more melatonin than those closer to the poles. Therefore, if you clive closer to the equator, you are naturally going to select a mate that has more melatonin (darker in skin color) because that person is more evolutionarily fit for that geographic location. This is known as sexual selection. Jewishness is a culture and a religion. Many Jewish people look alike because they originally lived in the same geographic area; the Middle East. Because of the amount of sunlight they adapted slightly darker skin (what is often referred to as olive skin tone). Because of the bonding formed by the culture and the religion, Jews looked for similar minded mates. And since slightly darker skin was indicative of better evolutionary fitness, they naturally chose a particular physical type. Because of this selection process they cemented certain physical characteristics into their Gene pool. This is true of any similar looking groups of people eg. Scandinavians for instance. Not all cultures and religions are as cohesive and therefore reflect greater ranges of characteristics.

He's not too far off. It's called big business and big agribusiness from the US in the 1890' through 1940's if I'm not mistaken. These organizations came in and turned subsistence farming into monoculture farming which changed the economy. They for all intensive puroses enslaved the peon farmer. When the farmers revolted (introduction of Socialism) the US back autocratic dictators to put down the uprising and re-enslave the peon farmers. This lead to state sponsored para-military groups murdering, kidnapping, and torturing the populace. This in turn lead to the proliferation of illicit drug trade to make a living, and the multitude of street gangs warring for turf. Do I think it was a satanic cult- yeah initially. But I don't know about right now.

I really do not have a good handle on the percentsge, even though my doctoral research touched upon this phenomenon. When I was teaching at a school where dual enrollment played a very significant role in the identity of the school, the numbers were much higher. Since@ moving to a school district that services marginalized communities, I would be estatic if more parents were actually involved more. Helicopter or not.
