First off, to criticize Isreal in not anti-semitic or anti-zionist. All countries fo things or enact policies that are not popular. My ex-wife is Jewish and I gave slwsys supported her and her religion. Having prefaced that, Isreal does appear to be headed towards becoming an apartheid nation. It is presently being run by the Hassidic Jewish tradition, along with some ultra-conservative groups. The Hassadim came directly from Europe and the halocaust. You would think they would know better given their background experience.
Has Saudi Arabia been funding extreme left pundits to denigrate Israel?
t1nick comments on Jul 20, 2018:
If not directly funded, encouraged. Saudi Arabia is Sunni moslim. Their enemy, Iran and the other countries on the travel ban are Shia. They have different beliefs regarding their prophet Mohammed (over simplistic explanation I know). They are often avowed enemies despite both being muslim.
Ok.

When my girlfriend and I text each other at night, she often likes me to tell her a naughty story, as she calls it. Usually entails some sex act (not kinky) together. She insists it works as she usually has to excuse herself to go to the bathroom afterward. Ok, about a week ago my girlfriend was on a trip. We were texting in the evening and she was feeling lonely and horny, so I promised her one of my stories; it was dark in both our locations, i was listening to Jazz love songs as I composed this story. Here it is, I hope this is what you were looking for: Imagine it's early morning. We're both lying in bed naked. You are lying on your right side, with knees slightly bent. I snuggle up close to you while you are sleeping. I spoon you, placing my cock against your butt crack. I then reach up and brush a piece of hair off your temple and kiss your temple I very lightly, ever so lightly I begin to kiss my way down your cheek to your ear, then down your ear to your shoulder All the while lightly pressing my cock against your butt crack and gently moving my hips up and down. Gently though, I continue to kiss down your arm to your elbow. At this point I pull you a little towards my body I move off your arm to the bottom of your left breast. I change from my lips to my tongue. I work around the bottom of your breast, lightly flicking my tongue until I reach the spot between your breasts. I continue around your left breast with my tongue, still rubbing your butt crack with my cock in slow circular movements. I reach across with my left hand and cup your right breast, just as I reach the top of your left breast with my tongue. I swirl about your areola of your left beast with my tongue and grab your nipple with my lips. I gently squeeze your nipple with only my lips as I pull up. As I pull up I use my tongue to tease the top of your nipple simultaneously. I remove my left hand from your right breast and reach behind you and slip my cock in between your legs. I do not enter you yet. I move up from your breast to the nape of your neck with my tongue, under your chin and up to your mouth, lightly kissing all the way. When I reach your mouth, I insert my tongue in your mouth and we French kiss exploring each other's mouth. Meanwhile, I am pushing my cock between your legs, just reaching your labia and clit I continue to thrust reading the front of your vagina with my thrusts, back and forth, back and forth I reach down with my left hand and begin to massage your clit with my fingers as I thrust back and forth, back and forth. I then grab my cock and insert it into your vagina,, moving slowly as I go in. My thrusts pick up in energy, in out, in out, back and forth, back and forth I pick up speed some more, pushing deeper into to you, my stomach...

Any teachers out there?
t1nick comments on Jul 19, 2018:
I have 30 years in teaching so I might be able to add some insight. First, do you have your teaching credentials or are your going in as a transition teacher (working towards certification)? Second, depending on your population in the school, interviews will want to know if you can diversify your lessons to accommodate multiple types of students (special ed, although don't use thst term it's out of favor, go with challenged or special needs, - cultural diversity adapt your lesons for divetse cultural populations (eg. you read/speak Spanish for instance)? Third, a question you are sure to get is what would you do if a child acted out in your classroom -interviewers like to hear that you have good classroom management skills - i.e. can you use compassionate re-direction to change a students behavior. Use the "I" voice, eg. Johnny, I am having trouble with your behavior because.. , do you think you can work with me? (Good luck with this one). Or quietly give the student two options, eg. Johnny, you can either stop the behavior that your doing and we will both be happier, or you can continue with your behavior and there will be consequences, and you won't like them. If you must resort to consequences, be consistent and be firm. Remember, you are their teacher and not their friend. Don't mean you have an adversarialter classroom, just be sure of your position and their position. After all this let them know that you are approachable. Take their crises serious, but don't get over involved or let yourself get manipulated. Above all, let the interviewers know you are a team player. They like idividualism, but not if you are adversarial to what the Admin. is trying to do, even if it's stupid. Just say how do you want the product to look and leave me alone. Teaching is one of the most rewarding and challenging carreers out their. Enjoy your new profession. I began as a scientist, moved to teaching and never looked back. What do you think of parents who home school their children?
t1nick comments on Jul 19, 2018:
As a teacher I've had some good home schooling situations and I've seen some disasters. You usually see the disasters when they re-enroll their children back into the public school system. Usually because they came to realize that they weren't prepared for the demands associated with home schooling. What you usually encounter in these circumstsnces are students that are profoundly dysfunctional in their social skills and missing large chunks if knowledge. Conversely, I have taught home schooled students which are genuinally gifted and way ahead of their peers. These are usually re-inserted into the public sector because things changed at home and home schooling was impractical, or their parents desired to get them more social exposure. The trend that really launched home schooling was driven by Fundamental Christians that desired to control the information their children were exposed to. Later, disenchantment with the failings of public schools drove other parents to experiment with home scooling.
This is bound to piss off a few.

I've been saying that the Republican party began an official campaign to dumb down America in 1983 during Reagan's,second run for office. They made as part of their campaign slogan,"Democrats are efite intellectuals that are out of touch with the average American" . They conflate intelligence to a vice and just short of evil. It was the time of the urban cowboy era. Things common were elevated, it became cool to be ignorant. By the time we reached the 2016 election, ignorance had been elevated to a virtue by Repubs. Just witness the post-fact movement, the number of Repub congressmen openly opposed to education, and particularly college education, and the opposition to science (eg. Flat - Earthers). The "base" who voted for Trump in this last election are typical of those that see "good ol' boy" values as superior to education and knowledge.

t1nick comments on Jul 19, 2018:
Good question. I've been asking that question for months now. I think people are so disgruntled with any form of authority these days that they are willing to suspend rational thought to express their cynicism and angst. Many may have truly convinced themselves of the (il)logic of the flat-esrthers. There is also an anti-science movement prevalent in sectors of the public today. Willing to disparage anything having to do with science, while tapping on their smartphones. Oxymoron. Go figure.

I whole heartedly concur. I hate people who wrap themselves in the flag and become uber nationalists (eg. Lee Greenwood or other recent country artists). I have done a lot of criticism of Trump the last few days due to his performance in Helsinki. I truly feel he let the country down and did not defend the values and Constitution of our country. His actions were less than patriotic in my opinion.

t1nick comments on Jul 16, 2018:
I'm not so sure that you "become" an atheist per se. It's more like you are raised to believe a certain paradigm. You accept because it you are young and you are told to. All along you had a nagging feeling that the questions you asked were never being answered. satisfactorily. Then when you get out on your own and can ask questions from sources other than those your were typically surrounded by, you realize that you were aware all along that you already knew the answer to your questions yourself. It's more of an "awakening" or a "realization" than a becoming.

People seem to underst and that atheism is not an organized religion. We do not in general have brick and mortal meeting places. We do have congregations. We are instead, a conglomerate of individuals that in loose cabal to disuss our disillusionment of organized religion and other societal and personal issues. We are all of different minds, different motivations, and different leanings. Outside of blog sites like this one, there is no church of atheism, or least perhaps in some city with a local following. It's possible that at the atheist conventions that are organized throughout the nation, a request for charitable support could be voiced and presented to the partic pants in attendance. But it would a one time gesture, as there is no consistent membership roll.

What do you think about the mandella effect?
t1nick comments on Jul 9, 2018:
Mandela Effect - a phenomenon whereby a large number of people all experience a false memory of some event. This is a difficult question in reality. I attended a lecture by one of the leading neurosergions in the country a few years back. One of his examples during his lecture included this story: A,family came together to celebrate of of their clans birthday. Before the celebrant arrived all the family members got together and fabricated a story about a supposed mishap in which the birthday person experienced. None of it was true. When the object of the party arrived, everybody began sharing remembrances about the birthday person. Eventually they worked around to the fictitious event. By the time every body shared their fake memoties, the birthday person was convineed it actually happened. If fact he actually added in details yo the ficticious event . When they finally came clean, the birthday person refused to believe that the event never occurred. Case in point, the brain fills in details that seem reasonable or logical in order to make sense of a situation. With the present Administration activEly practicing GAS LIGHTING, it is not unreasonable to believe that a collective group of people could actalky have a fucticious shared memory, as it is the moat logical and reasonable explanation for a gullible population, who desperately wish to believe and reinforce a particular agenda or paradigm, even it is totally incorrect.

t1nick comments on Jul 8, 2018:
One of the purposes of the scientific journals are for aspiring researchers and veteran scientists to get their work out into the scientific community. In doing so it has secondary benefits. I.e. professional recognition assists them in getting the professional recognition allowing them to be able to write and receive grants, scholarships, and other rewards. I acknowledge it doesn't seem fair to not get monetary compensation for your writing, but also realize it's part of a bigger system and without the journals much scientific work would never get the light of day.

Not to take away from the humorous Ness of your cartoon, but did you know that their probably was a world wide flooding event? In culture histories all around the world, there are culture stories of a great flooding event. We also know from geology, that a flooding event did ideas happen, dating to the same time. But it's not what one would think. At the time that the event occurred, most major cultures of the time lived either along the coast lines of moSt of the continents. If they didn't live along the coast, they lived on the banks of the major rivers that poured into the world's oceans. It appears from the geologic evidence that a major melting of the glaciers and ice caps occurred. This leas to a significant eusraric rise in the level of all seas and oceans. As a result, most of the largest cities and habitations were floodes out and destroyed, forcing inhabitants to move inland. This is well documented in the culture histories and in the geological record. Just sayin'

t1nick comments on Jul 4, 2018:
You know there are two official versions of Noah and the ark. In the original (Torah), Noah took all animals except those with cloven hooves or considered unclean (shellfish). In the Christian version they leave this out. Same with the Garden of Eden story. In the original (Torah) Adam had a wife prior to Eve; Lilith. She was made of the same soil as was Adam and was Adam's equal.. Adam did not like her equality because she would not obey his commands. He ask God for another mate. So Lilith was banished from the Garden. God made Eve from Adam's rib so that she would be subservient (made from man so answerable to man). I think there might be one passing reference ( one line) in Genesis if I remember correctly, in the Christian Bible.

Advice for a first time dog owner. Go!
t1nick comments on Jul 3, 2018:
Patience. Dogs are social animals. That's the reason they run on packs. Like humans they need social interaction. If not with other dogs, then with you. They respond to human emotions and have similar needs emotionally to humans (doesn't mean they can talk to you about their emotions or anything). You will become the alpha dog in their life and they will defer to you (unless they have been maltreated prior to you getting them). They will look up to you for instruction, direction, and emotional support. If young, they may be stubborn at first, mostly because they haven't learned their place in your pecking order, and like any child or juvenile, they want to do what they want to do. Be patient but stern. Rewaed and praise when they do something right. They like a child live for your praise now. If I can advise further, just text me on this website. I have raised quite a few dogs in my time. Good luck with your new friend.

One for the chemists: "Got mole problems? Call Avogadro at 6.02x10^23." :P

If a male chemist gets sick, you may attempt to "curium", if that fails and he passes, then you have no choice but to "barium"

Do you think that duality in thoughts and actions limit the living "experience"?

I've had many an argument with belirvers (don't ask me why) about the nature of their faith. My contention was that what they had written in some book was totally irrelevant to their belief system. What really defined their belief system was how it's practioners practiced it. Actions speak louder than words. To further develop this construct; a believer in a system, say Christianity (why I would say this I have no idea - lol). A Christain will believe that certain actions are acceptable in order to reach the desired outcome- afterlife. If that same person is willing to partake in actions that are prohibited or looked down upon by the written artifact that serves to define the accepting tenets of their system, which is the real delimiter of their belief system. The words or the actions? If they (and large numbers of followers also follow similar actions) decide that they can engage in the adverse behavior and still get their reward, I say the actions define their belief system. Ex. Though shalt no kill. -burning witches alive at the post. Ex. Though shalt not steal. - Tele-Evangeligist Just Sayin'
Why is Atheism still so misunderstood in 2018?
t1nick comments on Jul 2, 2018:
To not believe in God-figure may be an atheist universal. But the paradigm that each individual defers back to understand existence is anything but universal. That's why we are not a belief system.. We may be a lack of belief system by definition. But it ends there. Many of us may come to similar conclusions about the nature of existence, but in general we do not congregate together and declare it a belief system. Before you call foul. The scientific process is exactly that, a process. It is a well established paradigm for collecting and sorting information. But those of us who whole heartedly prescribe to it, do not necessarily envision the exact same understanding of how the particulars fit together.

Repubs cannot deny this charge. The second day Obama was in office, Speaker of the House (avowed coward and hypocrite) announced on air, that they would obstruct anything Obama put forward. They spent the next eight years doing exactly that. It's a matter of public record, or in their world of "alternative facts" fake news.
Any old Guns N Roses fans out there?
