I am a writer and editor by profession. I live in the country. I have an extensive private library. I am a Christian apostate, but I can get along with Christians, unlike many of my ilk who seem to have a bizarre hatred for the religious. I am well-mannered, but (and I hesitate to say this, because it is so easy to misinterpret) not “politically correct.” I am one of those rarities for whom philosophy is important, and for whom religion and politics prove unlikely topics to offer romantic matches. I do not require a philosophical match, but definitely a common sense emotional match. If I confessed to testing out as an INTP, would that be helpful? I wonder.
As for non-dating friendships... I am open. It might be fun to know more people for whom no normal religious grouping makes sense.
But a note of caution here, regarding the gods: I am open to information regarding extra-terrestrial civilizations with beings whose technology and very manner of existence might be mistaken for deities. I know nothing about these, of course, professing to no special experience or knowledge. But I no longer make fun of those who do. I have a new general kick: I oppose ridicule and social marginalization of people on the grounds of their factual beliefs. Values are perhaps another matter. But it seems to me that we should all be able to talk about existents and past and future patterns of same without reaching for our Rosaries, real or metaphorical.
