Chronic pain is taking the joy out of my life jesus H christ what the hell should I do? doc is doing nothing of course. is there no way out of this conundrum?
You have arthritis and nothing will change that?? Who told you that? You won't listen, so I give up.
I am sorry that you are facing this. Do hot bathes help? How about saunas or hot tubs? Have the therapists tried electrode therapy?
no electrodes hor baths and hot tubs but i don't have one and you can't stay in the tub all the time
I've struggled with chronic pain from neuropathy in my hands and feet due to chemo treatment last year for Hodgkin's Lymphoma (in remission since August). I've tried so many things -- different meds, extra B-12, medical marijuana, acupuncture, dietary changes -- to little or no avail. Best thing right now has been Cymbalta and the extra B-12, they help at least to take the edge off, as well as some physical therapy to help me learn new ways to move my body. The best thing I can do at this point is manage it and try to live my life. It's hard, I have my good days and bad days. Trying to tell myself I'm doing the best I can.
cymbalta huh.
Also for now, no almonds, almond butter or almond milk.
As an alternative doctor, as a rule, I would advise gluten free, no nightshades, no cow dairy, no soy, no peanuts no cashews, No Canola oil. For now no spinach or kale.
Eat avocados, sardines, herring and wild salmon.
yah fish oil good stuff i do that too my pain is getting worse over time
gluten free is become silly it is only for peoplewho have a certain disorder. now it has become a :"thing
I just want to add to you all thank you for your comments and concerns .people here are caring.
With all due respect, some of your responses indicate that you have not understood some of the advice I gave and you think you are smarter than you are. First of all gluten free is not a silly concept and you are probably referring to celiac patients who have a serious issue with gluten, but so does the general public. Gluten is a lectin. Read Dr Steven Gundry's book, The Plant Paradox. I guarantee you are eating inflammatory foods. You say you do fish oil, but you can't just buy and take any old fish oil off the shelf and have it do anything for you unless it is matched to your biological preference. Many fish oil supplements are useless, but touted by their makers as the best. It is like a lock and key. You are probably using the wrong key, so you will stay locked, but think you have tried everything, when you haven't. If you can get to Dr Frank Springob in Port Angeles, Washington, he can help you, wishing you well, Dr Jackson
@Healthydoc70 i have arthritis. nothing will change that
I had chronic bursitis; three different medical treatments did nothing for me. Three sessions of acupuncture cured it; it's been 25 years since I had an attack. Also, if you're on opioids, you might want to switch to advil or aleve. Opioids block pain, and you may do damage. Ibuprofin just relaxes muscles.
ibuprofen takes away inflammation but it also prevents bone from healing. which when you have a broken bone the orthopedic surgeon will tell you not to take it.I am a retired RN for 40 years so I have researched it all sure i take that too you name it i have tried it
actully opiods block pain they are addictive in a way others are not. you actually get sick after a while if you don't have them hence the real addition. how ever they pass through your body and actually do not damage. to liver or kidneys
Have you tried cannabis?
Specifically, have you tried high cbd low thc cannabis?
yes.
