Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Richest for whom? This country is not inclusive and many "poorer" countries actually have a much better safety net for people. It's all based on a tax base and when that base is low so are benefits and infrastructure.

Glad to hear you can afford to retire , but I'm not so sure we are the richest country any more . A lot of huge Metropolitan areas are basically being abandoned , schools aren't being supported , life supporting natural resources are running short due to contamination , government agencies which cleaned the air , are being dismantled so that corporations can continue to contaminate the water and soil .
