I recently joined Match.com, and I would love to hear some funny stories from folks who have some experience with online dating. The more hilarious or outrageous, the better. What's the funniest, weirdest or most ridiculous thing you've had happen with online dating?
BE WARE.......if you live dangerously you have found the right place at Match.com or any other designated Date site. I have personally given up on Date sites, they are all fraught with scammers wanna-be Fakers that truly NEED someone else t care for them. If you like mommying some poor destitute man this the place for that. Truly so few peoples can actually tell the truth for they truly do Not know the truth of their own nature. My own personal desire for security and Peace runs much more strongly than the desire fr female companionship. Although that companionship does run deep and profound, it is just that i value my safety above such. Good Luck......
I found match to be more for the much younger generation. plus i was probably bad at it, anyway. lol met someone once and tried for several other dates. all i got was stood up, and the final time she sent her roommate to take her place. after an awkward "date" that was the last of it for me. if i can be patient and get my in better shape, in ten years or so the advantage in numbers starts to swing my way. like they say in the "Home" he can drive !!!!
This one lady (IQ of 145) said she was just looking to find a friend and not a date. I asked her why she was on a dating site instead of one of the many sites specifically for platonic relationships. She said she didn't know they existed.
To be fair, an intelligent person can be out of touch with the times.
ON FIRE FOR GOD made me crack up. the evolutionary pathway has decidedly broken down.
Was on match for a while and found the great majority of women were catholic. Same on POF.
One women asked the question, where are all the normal men, and her picture showed her holding on to leashes of three good size dogs. So I pointed out the fact that she had three large dogs and was wondering where the men were.
Catholic is the worst. The guilt, the hang-ups. I am finding it hard to believe I will renew my subscription.
Hi,Emerald , and welcome to the website!
You earn website points, and help other members get to know you better, when you write an informational profile and answer all the profile questions, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member.
Also, the website uses your profile to find member matches, so the more details you include, the better the match.
Then you make comments and write your own posts to earn more points, and when you reach level two you can private email people. You get different perks with different levels, and when you reach level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.
To find members near you, click on the "Meet" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Or click on the "About" button at the top of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.

Have fun!
I quit using dating sites and went back to old fashion way of meeting women.
Be Careful. Match has more scammers than all the others put together. The Same company also owns Our Time. My one date on Match ended up being an old friend of mine from Meetup.com who was 70 and posing as 59 who was into Swinging Parties-not my interest.
Thanks for the warning. So far I've only seen a couple I thought were attractive, and when I clicked one of their profiles, he described himself as ON FIRE FOR GOD!!!! Hard pass.
