How Did These Warmongers Not Serve in Military?
You know sassy... i can look past people that squirm out of serving better then i can with those that say its their right to burn our flag in a demonstration...
@Theskeptic sure they do. I know the 1st and 2sc. Amendment. Here you go.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
REASONING (5-4) The majority of the Court, according to Justice William Brennan, agreed with Johnson and held that flag burning constitutes a form of "symbolic speech" that is protected by the First Amendment.
, the NFL game operations manual, a 260-page document that addresses game rules at a higher organizational level, does. Below is a snippet of the policy:
The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.
Yet the policy allows teams to use their discretion, and currently, according to NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy, players are “encouraged but not required to stand for the national anthem.”
Their cowards...
Because, if they had, they would have learned what war is truly like.
Here's a poem I wrote some years ago on the subject, and posted on one of my own web-sites:-

Tell me my brother.... how do you stand up to a wall of dead hero's and tell them they fought and died so anybody can burn a flag or kneel at the anthem? Damn...
@Theskeptic It is safe. It is hosted on Go daddy and I write the code myself. It's just that some browsers are neurotic and look for certificates. A money spinner for someone.
Because they think they are too good for it! In my opinion they are a bunch of sniveling cowards! REAL MEN (and women) are not afraid to serve their country! Ask Tammy Duckworth, Robert Mueller, or John McCain!
Theyre my heroes!
