Question. How do you feel about needing to put your hand on a bible in court to be sworn in? I find it offensive but no sleepless nights.

I was called for jury duty this week, and they had us all "swear to God to be truthful, or affirm if you want to do that". The judge said it in a tone that made it quite clear that one should not openly admit to faithlessness. Luckily I was dismissed from serving on a what will be a lengthy murder trial due to my lack of faith in the police and justice system 🙂

was on a jury this week. When sworn in there was no so help you god but witness' were asked that. If they asked me that I would in all fairness decline.
