All Religions are in the Business of Money. Religion is the tool that enables them to survive and until you see how they spend it then you know where your salvation lies. Your brainwashed from the day your born, all thru your educational pursuits, your marriage and until you pass are you conned into thinking that you can only be saved thru religion.

There oughta be a law! But there isn't. Why? Because no congressman is going to vote for any law penalizing a religion. Any religion. Or any member of any religion. Sad but true.

As much as I despise those people, stupidity isn't a crime. You can't arrest televangelists for having ignorant and gullible people send them donations. They are being offered a product or service that isn't tangible. It's not like offering investment opportunities to people and taking their money and not giving them anything in return like Bernie Madoff did. The product and service here is faith, and fraud isn't provable. Not exactly an enforceable business contract. Otherwise, it would have been done already.

They need to be taxed like the rest of us.

2

I agree they are evil snake oil salesmen. How do you write a law that would get through congress that could address the fraud?

And there's the point, Donna! Politicians are supported by these fraudulent ''ministers'' and they'll be highly unlikely to cut off that supply. SORRY TO SAY!

YES!

All televangelists are morally reprehensible.

Churches need to be taxed. Their benefit to the community is negligible, obviously.

5

They should be jailed for fraud. It makes me wish there was a God so that when these scum buckets die they can burn in the fires of hell for all eternity.

5

They seem proud of taking the last couple of dollars from someone who can barely make ends meet.
I wonder how they sleep at night, knowing they don't follow what they preach.

Just proves there is no such thing as a soul.

They sleep just fine. The types of people who can commit such acts aren't exactly the best people with the best conscience.

Ever research some of these "case for Jesus"people? Long history of criminal charges.
Take for example "The Activist Mommy". Technically not an preacher but just as annoying.
She found herself in a federal court for lying to investers along side her brothers. Found guilty, of course. Do any of her follower's check that information? No. Her husband is a doctor. He wrote an article on how to hide child abuse. It's frightening. Still people follow her FB page like the sheep they are. Disturbing to say the least.

I surely agree...I have never understood that donating to televangelist in the first place...hell, I stopped sending money to help children that was advertised on TV, especially when I found out so little of the money really went to the children!

4

They are protected by the 1st Amendment, it'd be a hard struggle to enact a law that doesn't violate it.

Not the tax part tax the hell out of them.

4

I totally agree ??

Yup! There is this guy that is on late at night for like 30 yrs hes been sending people free vials of holy water from the holy land. And guarantees you will be blessed in days. The hook is you get the free holy water amd you drink it. Then you have to return the vial with a min of $20 to have him pray for you and get blessed. The bigger the return the bigger the blessing! If you don't return it with the $20 god will know and you will be cursed. Yeah that fucktard needs to be in prison

They are despicable... the lowest of the low

Wow what a load of bullshit!!!

Sounds like those indulgences the catholics sold to fund the vatican and martin luther told them to fuck off.

@MacTavish no evangelicals taking advantage of desperate people. They have countless people claiming that they got tens and hundreds of thousands in the mail or thing mysteriously happened and they got all this money. All their problems where solved. People are hurting. And if they think $20 will take that away! They will

@Desertkatt They gotta learn to face life as it is and no magic man is going change that.
