Yeah, because the english didnt EXTERMINATE the entire population of natives and now the natives need to live in "reserves" like a bunch of zoo animals, right?
At least the spanish crown gave the natives some rights, and the spanish actually married the native women. Not like the anglos, am i right?
A barbaric time, the Catholic church and his holiness, were responsible (judging by their correspondence to their Spanish and Portuguese governers and Bishops) for horrific mistreatment of natives. Shameful...
