I've found that I use a lot of words unironically that I started using as a joke. For instance, I've said "groovy" for years, and in more recent years I've added "totes" and "bae." I don't even think of them much, except at odd times when I wonder what people think of me. Then I remember that I'm working on not caring what people think, and I shrug it off.
Are there any words that you use that started out as a joke but they made it into your regular lexicon? What are they? How do you feel about them?
I incorporated saying "Motorhead" into my life. It works less places than you'd think.
Oh, let's see: Right on! Rock on! Bada-boom-bada -bing! (As in A leads to B) Schwag, man! (Manny the hippie, thumbs down) Groovy! (me, too) I'll have to be on the lookout for others. Great question!
