I’m so upset with this recent illegal immigrant separation of children from their families. I want to stop it, but even if I drive to where it’s happening, it probably won’t do any good. I can’t believe I live in a country that allows this tragedy. Is anyone else feeling this frustrated?
I should probably call my Senator/Representative before I lose my shit. Anger overflowing and its hard to think passively while sessions commits MAJOR human rights violations under the guise of national security. I get so angry and embarrassed about what this country is becoming.
Yes! Call! And keep calling. Tie up their phones so that all they hear is how pissed their constituents are.
@Minta79 I've started volunteering for campaigns in my area, but I'm also going to do as you suggest. Thank you! I was just too much of an introvert till recently.
I know this will not be popular....
It might be better for those who are coming into the country illegally not to do so at this time.
I was asked to give a workshop in Mexico some time ago. As I tried to enter the country at the airport I was denied. I was asked my purpose for being there and I said to present a workshop. The officer told me that was work related and I would need a work visa to come in. I did not get in and returned home. Later, people told me to always say that I am a tourist.
Many of the people coming here are fleeing gang violence. So their choice is death or concentration camps. No good options for these poor people.
@Blindbird You are absolutely correct. My brother married a woman from Honduras. Her father has three bullets in him from a drive by shooting. The surgeons decided to leave them where they were rather than operate as there could be problems taking out.
@pryan
It definitely reminds one of Dacha or Birkenbau unfortunately. ICE is becoming a lot like brown-shirted, boot strapped stormtroopers.. Where has the America I knew gone.
On a side note, I have a poem I wrote about the Nazis marching into Paris and the intellectuals like Sartre, and Simon de Beauvior fleeing to southern France. It's called, "Psris, 1942, Rue de Ravignon". Not that anybodies interested. Just throwing that out. It seemed pertinent.

I have watched this first hand in Juarez when a mother had to leave her children in Texas while she was returned to Mexico for TEN years for having violated immigration laws. One of the saddest things I have every witnessed.
Yes, especially when #45 says it's the Democrats, after his bill proposed in Congress is a tougher no tolerance law!
