The shortage of farm workers is a side of immigration that no one seems to be talking about. I have been a farmer, and know how difficult it is to find people who will do hard labor in adverse conditions for long hours to get crops harvested. Americans quit after a couple days. Only immigrants who are desperate will stick it out. They are NOT taking jobs from Americans.

I think the word that's missing here is illegal immigrants.
Hence why these detention centres are such a lie. The American economy thrives on illegal immigrant labour. It always has done.

In the UK, 85% of fines imposed on British businesses caught using illegal immigrant labour have never been collected. That speaks volumes: use illegal immigrants, just don't get caught.
I wonder if it's the same in the US.
