I believe this to be true. Emotional damage in the formative years is difficult to repair.
Some people should not have children.
That's true, some should not have children. She said in her talk that approximately 70% of the population has suffered through at least 1 of these sever traumas. The US government is causing some of this to occur.

Separating Kids From Their Parents Can Lead To Long-Term Health Problems

It's sad that these sort of things are still happening
Yes, very sad. Our president has caused sever toxic trauma to hundreds if not thousands of children of illegal immigrants. Our main man is doing this now! Separation anxieties in young children cause all types of present and future psychological, physical and DNA damages. Is it just a weird game?
@AstralSmoke I definitely agree that the current zero tolerance policy is causing trauma to immigrant families and it may affect the younger members of those families as to how they develop later on in life but a lot of the families being detained aren't illegal immigrants. They're families seeking asylum, which is actually legal. However I do understand that asylum isn't always granted, especially considering under the previous administration when the children were being sent by themselves after a few central American countries ran propaganda campaigns saying that if they sent their children to the USA they would automatically be granted asylum. The difference however at least in my own opinion is that compared to the pictures of the living conditions that I've seen online of the "facilities" are completely inhumane as opposed to the barracks that were utilized to house the children under the previous administration. I say this because I personally walked through one of the barracks that was being utilized to house those children. The current commander in chief however has recently issued an order to the DoD to find more beds for these children and hopefully this will help alleviate the issue of then sleeping on the ground packed like a can of sardines. It's unfortunate that this is the best hope for these children at the time but the world isn't fair.
@Luces Thanks. I appreciate your well thought out response.
