I'll give you some things to think about, any creator native to this planet in it's natural environment will run away if man enters the seen as rapidly as possible. Because man's scent is alien to this world and strikes natural fear. Also there are things in the atmosphere that are very hazardous to man that have no effect at all on the native animals?

Yes ,Humans have created their own prison. We live in an artificial environment that our intelligence has enabled us to create unlike all wild creatures who live in their natural habitat.This idea is explained in a very good book by Desmond Morris ( The Human Zoo)

read that way back. might need to look at that again

Aliens throw a couple of rejects out of their spaceship and they got busy. That could explain a few things it is unlikely though.
