What is your favorite BEER? Mine is Bud Light Platinum
Favourite beer? That really does depend upon the season, the company, my current mood and what I had to eat prior to or whilst eating. There are so many excellent beers out there it's impossible to say. But a well crafted Mild, Stout or Porter will always be up there.
Something I would have to travel to get. That way I'd still get to enjoy the trip while I forced down the beer.
Not a beer drinker even though Budweiser is made and bottled right down the road.
I thought maybe you were in St. Louis Missouri!!! I used to live in the Soulard neighborhood in St. Louis, just a few blocks away from THE Budweiser Brewery. The original one. The smell of hops in the neighborhood always smelled like cooking green beans to me!!!
I'm guessing your brewery offers tours? Pretty interesting and worthwhile if they do. Plus, in the summer some of the rooms are like 40 degrees so that's nice!
I'm a beer guy, so I have several go-to's. My common beer is Bud light. For cookouts, gatherings, etc.
If I go out somewhere, I enjoy Yeungling, Allegash white. One of my faves is from a local brewery called Black Hat, the Brew is a Belgian Tripel. It's 11.2%.
Other beers I really enjoy are Sam Adams cherry wheat, Brick Red, their seasonal Oktoberfest (fall) or cold snap (early spring), Magic Hat #9, and a seasonal mocha stout from stone brewery called xoco veza.
Sadly, beer doesn't like me. It causes all sorts of GI issues. I feel cheated.
Best beer I ever had was brewed at a small pub called The Greyhound outside of Melville Castle in Dalkeith, Scotland. It was called Aloah Special, and nothing I've had since even comes close to matching up.
Fat Tire and Blue Moon are about as close as I've come as far as mass produced beers go, so I guess those will have to do for a favorites list. For inexpensive lagers, Beer Lao from Laos is my go to brew.
My "regular" beers that I keep going back to are Cougar Bait (Country Boy, Lexington, KY) and Huma-Lupa-Licious (Short's, Bellaire, MI). I recently discovered Green Zebra (Founders, Grand Rapids, MI) and have been enjoying it this summer, and Bourbon County Brand Stout (Goose Island, Chicago) is a great sipping beer but often hard to find.
But there are too many great beers out there to just stick to one or two; I love trying new beers!
Try Good Ass Beer. I need to send them a letter claiming they have false advertising!
