Wouldn't You Like These People As Neighbors?
There would surely be no cause for signs like this in a loving and open-hearted society. This sign is a reaction to hate. But the mere fact of it being reactionary does not make it wrong or bad. When religious fascists are bombarding us with megaphones at their protests of funerals, of all things! When they fill up tv air time with their distorted rhetoric, hateful lies, and when they push so hard to fill elected government at all levels with conservative theocrats who do all they can to trample the rights of vulnerable demographic minorities (and women), it becomes important to counteract that in some way. Visibility becomes an important factor.
This article about small town Kansas gives me hope.

I love the sentiment of the sign completely. Several here have questioned the need or judgment of posting it on a house. I am just impressed that these homeowners feel safe enough in their neighborhood not to worry that this sign might make them a target for vandalism, or worse. :/
I would love these people as neighbors and I'd put out the same sign as well.
If kindness is everything... why the church advertisement sign is needed?
What does kindness have to do with church signs?
@jlynn37 the sign reminds me of the church signs. When your agenda is humble, you don't need to advertise.
