Do u in ur honesty and sincerity ever tried to explain what u consider is the truth to someone and in the process they tell u that u r being derogatory, u r insulting them their church and their religion and they r offended. And despite U tell them u r not but trying to explain what is the truth they still insists that u r being disrespectful as if nothing short of ending the conversation is what is required. Is there a solution to this kind of response?
Maybe an attempt to use words instead of lazy short hand would improve the responses that you get. If you discuss verbally in the same manner that you discuss on the written page, I can understand why people take offence. You probably need to learn how to articulate more effectively if you want to be taken seriously. If English is not your first language, and you seriously want to have meaningful discussion, it may be worth enrolling in an English conversational course. I am not criticising, just suggesting a means of making yourself better understood.
I have worked in multi faith groups in education. When asked I start by saying. I will explain as long as you won't be offended. Then leave it to them. Christians seem to be the offended more than Sinks, Muslim's, Jew's , hindus etc.
@Gwendolyn2018 Get me the central text, get me the central text!!!!!!
@Gwendolyn2018 Not me! Sikhs have got Guru Granth Sahib. I want the Sinks' texts. To see if I can plug the holes that may be in it!
@Gwendolyn2018 At your service and very pleased to amuse
Only every time I went back home to missouri. Eventually we just stopped bringing up religion or politics at all
There is quite a bit of brainwashing that goes on in a young child life. Anything you say has to battle years of conditioning. As far as a solution, a way to make them see reason? I doubt anything you say would work.
In my opinion, I think they get so offended because they are afraid your right.
