If the USA is truly a Christian country why in the courts are there not verdicts
Guilty
Not guilty
Not guilty by reason of insanity
Not guilty be reason of possession by demonic entity or evil spirit
Not guilty by reason of acting in accordance with the will of God
Not guilty by reason of compulsion by the Devil
Not guilty by reason of predestination
Not guilty by reason of the grace of Jesus' sacrifice
Innocent
The first three in your list are actual verdicts, but you missed one other; "guilty, but mentally Ill." Unlike not guilty by reason of insanity, this additional verdict results in detention accompanied by psychiatric treatment which may be followed by return to regular inmate population should treatment result in recovery. In a way, people who are acting in accordance with belief in "evil spirits", "God" the "devil", "predestination", or the "grace of Jesus" are all prospects for a guilty but mentally Ill verdict and, hopefully, one day a full recovery from their psychosis.
Exactly, I just find this to very telling, that in a country were "In God we Trust" is even on the money, when some one says in a trial "God told me to do it" the first reaction is "No he didn't" when Biblical precedent indicts that he did so, quite often.
As Julian so succinctly puts it further down the thread, deep down, they KNOW it is all bollocks.
We do, but the emphasis is on the guilty:
Guilty by poor
Guilty by non-white
Guilty by non-Christian
Guilty by sexual perversion
Besides they will find Jesus in jail and have an inspirational testimonial.
Because deep down everyone knows it’s all bollox
Yup spot on
