I just looked with binoculars. Jupiter is very clear tonight.
It's tantalising to see a shape of a planet, albeit tiny, despite the shaking of the image and the glare.
If I had a telescope!
A 6" Newtonian telescope is relatively easy to make; though, time consuming. And, if you live near a city, you may be able to find other amateur astronomers who make their own telescopes, and get their council. Perhaps: [saharasky.net]
