@whiskywoman My diabetes is controlled well with metformin 1000mg twice a day and eating responsibly. Eating a rainbow of vegetables is critical, because your body gets phytochemicals that keep you from overeating. Your body knows when it needs something; you get hungry. But, it cannot tell you what to eat.

@whiskywoman Diabetes changes your life one way or another. You can let it kill body parts, or you can work like hell to mediate the effects of diabetes by taking meds and changing your diet. I wish the best for him.
