Okay so my field of study is Math, which is not Scientific (Math's knowledge structure is rooted in the zetetical method, for starters) but I like to read about other subjects, too sometimes because Math necessarily has to do with those other subjects.
I was reading empirics, philosophy, and textbook-type knowledge on IQ scores, the brain, etc. and for brains without syndromal defects in cognitive matter (but not necessarily gifted brains), it takes anywhere from 4.320000000009g of grey matter to 5.80000000016g to do the work of 1 IQ point, but there is a necessary amount of white matter and compounds needed to transmit grey matter activity, of course.
Some apriori assumptions are that form follows function, and that what used to be called "organic quality" can be very variant. However, I did not have the means to assess the exact degree of speculation, sadly, but I DID do a wealth of reading and thinking.
While you can create a correlation for anything, that does not imply that there is causality.
Here is a good (laymans terms) article about brain sizing.
Brains must become more complicated in order to get larger. When they get larger, they are able to function differently.
Also IQ is a very flawed measure of intellect.
That is all true! The verbal math is strong in you, I see.
Whats a scientist without maths .... so id debate that maths is a crucial part in bringing scientific advancements to our world. BE PROUD .... stem subjects are paved with generous salarys, grants, nerd loving woman... if your single i hasten to add. ha. . much respect from a maths dunce down under . YOUR FUTURE IS BRIGHT YOUNG DZ...science is lucky maths lets it join the party.
Yes!!
Math is not only crucial, but it is literally the world. Math can make or break a whole plane of existence.
By the way, I noticed that you just said "If your single, I hasten to add". Is this a homosexual advance? If so, then I don't find that respectful.
@DZhukovin Did you neglect to read the “ nerd loving woman. “ comment... give a man.a complimentand he turns into a self entitled. Complete fucken social idiot... Christ o fucken almighty ... I feel sorry for you know.., dick.
Okay so it wasn't a homosexual advance. Thanks for clarifying, but you're getting a bit personal about a harmless question.
@DZhukovin Forgive me it must be all that unconscious homophobic bias I don’t know I’m experancing. ... nothing against gay people. My mother’s a fag hag.
Okay. Does that mean you're gay?
@DZhukovin Your unbelievable.. NO I AM NOT GAY.... Christ look at my photo. if I was a bum bandit , my friend I’m way out of your league....
Haha I was playing with you, big man. Calm down it's a joke!!
@DZhukovin well done my algorithm headed ,physics minded Maths geek.. you got me good .Hats off to you sir.
Thank you, big man. Cheers and much love to Australia.
@DZhukovin Ha New Zealand .... but close enough.. ?
Oops
What's with all the zeros?
I was minimizing skew caused by estimation.
The mass range comes from two things:
Water intake influences the thickness of the grey matter. People who have optimal intake also have better brain activity.
The average brain weight is not set in stone, it fluctuates from ~1350g to ~1450g based on the study one looks at.
Organic quality varies in people. If you have two people with identical upper brain structure but person A is a smoker, then person A cannot utilize his brain to the same extent and ease as person B because of Maslow's Hierarchy.
Lol for that amount of placeholders, I say it was still not accurate.
The problem here is that doing an organic analysis and working the stochastics needed to make the data would use a chunk of time that would never, ever come back once it was spent.
@DZhukovin Just wondering, how does Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs fit into this argument?
Oh boy, it's Geoffrey Part II: The Return. I'll pass on this interaction, thank you.
@DZhukovin Please identify, rather than dismiss questions. That is the spirit of this group, or so I thought. I am asking as a question to expand my knowledge of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
Dude just google it, it takes two seconds to find sources that are primary enough.
@DZhukovin I know Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, I just don't understand the context in which you are placing it and asking for some guidance here.
Oh my god, I am being nagged.
No, okay? I don't feel like talking about it.
@DZhukovin That's fair enough. Thanks for opening an area to explore anyway
That's what she said
Professor Irwin Corey has been resurrected!!!.......there is a god after all.
What on earth are you talking about? If you're not interested in psychometry, then just don't participate. It's that simple.
I'm afraid you've possibly lost many of us (I know you lost me). Maybe restate in layman's terms?
Okay but who says that specifically you were necessarily included, along with the others, in the first place?
This post is meant for people with input. If other people do not have any input, then there's no reason to say anything.
I am NOT spending the time to repeat what I just said in words that will not preserve the original message. Go away.
My gray matter tells me that I should claim double points here
Double points for what?
