It is profoundly disturbing and an insult to the human intelligence that this method of managed perception has gone on since this article in 1988. That the illusion that engulfs so many in our country that the likes of Robert Parry-[consortiumnews.com] brought to the forefront during his coverage of wars in Central America during the Reagan era, still today control the minds of so many Americans. Stretching still today in 2018 to the difficulty for people like Chris Hedges, Abby Martin and independent news sources to break this seemingly never ending cycle now controlled by only 6 large news corporations!
