I like my Realtor. I would like to ask her out, but she and I are looking for investment properties. I think she likes me too or, at least she seems to be flirtatious with me. If I ask her out, that will mess up the Realtor/client relationship. Also, a couple of considerations, she is recently divorced, I just found out she attends a local "mega church" (Damn it).

no matter how good the 'fsdfi' looks there's never a good ending when a mega church is involved. Or she could be there just to dumb up business.

I seem to be the dissenting opinion here. I dated a woman at work. 14 years ago. I've had three different jobs since but still with that same woman. A woman who I now call my wife and the mother of my children. It's easier to find new business than to find new love.

Do be careful though. If she's financially motivated to be nice to you and laugh at your jokes then it can be easy to get your wires crossed and women do deserve to be able to be friendly without being hit upon. Slow and steady wins the race.

What the hell. Give it a shot. Worst thing that can happen is she says no, and if she says yes then there are plenty of other real estate agents out there you can switch to.

The religious thing will probably get old after awhile. Just keep that in mind.

I have dated women in sales and that attend mega churches. So I have a bit of experience in this field lol. For me if she is super religious and even if you are open minded about going for her happiness it still will probably not work. You two might hit it off in the beginning but in the long run it won't last more than likely. However if you don't want a long term thing go for it. She may see you as the bad guy she has secretly wanted for a while. As for women in sales. All sales women flirt to get a sale. Just like when I was in sales I would flirt with everyone to get a sale. See how she treats you after the property goes through. I bet she changes pretty drastically.

I was a realtor in the 90’s so all my knowledge may be outdated so far as professional standards.

Realtors act as agents for family members and friends all the time so i don‘t see a conflict of interest. I would wait until this property is at least under contract. Secondly, she is a sales person and she has of course the goal of closing this property but also keeping you as a client. She is going to be nice to you and try to establish a relationship. This last part is probably over the top but I understand recently divorced women. She is privy to a great deal of your financial information. What I mean is that your financial status is on display.

All that being said, if you like her, think about the above paragraph for 30 seconds and then if you so desire, jump in with both feet. Good luck.

LOL...Women in sales flirt, that is like the main tool they use to keep a guy with them so they get the commission...lol After the sale is over, if you are just buying the one property, then let her know you are done buying but you still would like to see her and see what she says.

The worst she can do is shoot you and eat you, go for it.

@maturin1919 She is!

How will it mess up the Realtor/client relationship?

In my experience, you never want to mix the two. Will you be working together long? If not, then go for it. But if it's a long-term business partnership, I'd be hesitant.
