Do you think that duality in thoughts and actions limit the living "experience"?
For those having a time understanding, when I say duality, I mean the thought of it can be this or that i.e. good or evil. And what I mean by our actions, for example, take most people stance when it comes to . Most people believe either you believe in a God or you don't believe all. Never leaving room for anything in between. With our constant mentality of "duality", are we limited our experience here now? Will people actually accept the other colors of the spectrum between the black and white colors?
Actions tell people what you are thinking without you having to tell them. Your thought are yours and you can examine, change or cherish them always. Never let people see what you are doing and then you can change or avoid any undue criticisms be them either good or indifferent.
You have to remember that there are persons who will never appreciate or compliment anyone. Only you are responsible for what you do. The why and wherefore are also yours to re examine of change.
I think that if your thoughts and actions are not in line then you are likely to experience difficulties. These could manifest in something as simple as not respecting yourself as you're not living a life that's in line with your values; to hating everyone around you as you transfer your unwanted traits onto others.
Having your thoughts and actions on a par means that you are more self aware and in, 'flow' and so can concentrate more on other things in your life, like acheiving your goals or just actually knowing what they are.
If you're simply referring to having two hypothetical situations in mind about something at once, (which I see is how many have answered your question); then I think that's human nature. But at the end of the day there are questions that can help limit overthinking e.g. is this in the past/ does it matter either way? Do I have any control over the situation or indeed, do I really want to know the answer to this question?
I think over-analyzing and most philosophy limits the living experience.
Too many people are spending too much time, and expending too much
effort, thinking about and trying to explain thoughts and actions, that they're
wasting the time they could spend living their lives and gaining experiences.
I actually loathe most philosophy.
Those doing it really are no better, or smarter, than most everyone else.
Why should any of us take anything they've had to say as some sort of "gospel"?
The concept of opposites has meaning in everyday life. If I feel cold I know to put on my coat. If I feel hot I take it off. By DEFINING hot and cold as opposites I simplify and organize my response options. But if I think about it I realize that temperature is just an indication of average molecular velocity and that hot and cold are only psychological ideas, opposite only in my mind.
I suggest that duality is useful for everyday living but that seeing through the illusion of duality sometimes leads to a better life, with more freedom and understanding. For example, if I understand that good and evil are not opposites I might be less judgmental of others and myself.
I've had many an argument with belirvers (don't ask me why) about the nature of their faith. My contention was that what they had written in some book was totally irrelevant to their belief system. What really defined their belief system was how it's practioners practiced it. Actions speak louder than words. To further develop this construct; a believer in a system, say Christianity (why I would say this I have no idea - lol). A Christain will believe that certain actions are acceptable in order to reach the desired outcome- afterlife. If that same person is willing to partake in actions that are prohibited or looked down upon by the written artifact that serves to define the accepting tenets of their system, which is the real delimiter of their belief system. The words or the actions? If they (and large numbers of followers also follow similar actions) decide that they can engage in the adverse behavior and still get their reward, I say the actions define their belief system.

Explain, please. I do not understand your question.
Yes, I weigh both sides and consequences back and forth. At times, I think it would be easier to be less introspective.

"living" IS a combination of thoughts and/or actions. Even a comatose person's heart is beating (action), even a paralized person thinks. Help me understand what you mean. Sounds like you have something interesting to say.
It depends on what it is you mean by "duality." I've found that there are several dualities that do limit the human experience over all. They fall into what I call "bipolar" category. The duality of good and evil, of the two party political system in the USA, and many other examples of dualities that do indeed limit choices and perceptions and hinder growth at so many levels.
