What is something you have never done?
I've never drunk a beer or coffee
ate a tomato, yuk
smoked anything
gotten a tattoo
been married : (
been a dad : (
illegal drugs, LOTS of legal ones though lol
Wow! I'm such a geek! Eh?
I have never drank a half coffee/half beer mix while eating a tomato.
Yay! Someone with a sense of humor. They do exist.
I have never smoked a cigarette or done drugs.
I have never found the treasure at the end of the rainbow.
I have never found awesome people on Agnostic.com. Oh wait, sorry, I have!!!!
Sorry about that rainbow thing. lol. Keep looking. I bet you will be the one to find it. : )
Kermit Thee Frog - Rainbow Connection
Never jumped out of a perfectly good airplane.
Never been shot...just shot at.
I never learned to swim.
I also never learned to swim. Many people have tried to teach me!
My dad traumatized me as a young child. Cold water makes me hyperventilate. I like the water...from a distance.
Never:
Smoked tobacco. My chain-smoking father died of cancer at age 51.
Been drunk since the first time at age 19. Never again.
Hit or spanked my child.
Eaten an oyster after spitting out the first one. It tasted like a gonad dipped in motor oil.
Got a tattoo. No, thanks.
Attacked by a wild animal, after hiking over 200 miles/year since age 21. Have seen bears, cougars and rattlesnakes.
But I have been attacked by eight unleashed dogs while hiking and snowshoeing over the past six years.
Oh, you've tasted gonads?? In motor oil?? Interesting. I have never Done that. Actually, never eaten an oyster, either. Watching my father slurp them down raw was enough to turn my stomach.
Kudos on the never striking your child part! Me neither.
@MikeInBatonRouge
I knew someone was going to say I tasted a gonad in motor oil.That was a joke. Raw oysters are disgusting.
Glad to hear you also don't believe in hitting or spanking children. Bravo! Kathleen
Wow! 51 I'm 51 now. I can't imagine. Even though I was very young, when I saw my greatgrandfather's face consumed by cancer, I knew tobacco was a bad thing. He used to pull a tobacco leaf down from his barn and stuff it in his cheek. My dad always thought that was cool until I made the connection for him.
200 miles a year since 21? Wow! Incredible! Attacked by 8 dogs? Mindboggling! Hope you were ok!
My right knee ligament was damaged from one dog attack. It took six months to heal.
The dog owners never apologized. Jerks!
On National Forest Service land, the regulations say:
“Dogs must be leashed or under firm voice control.”
Now while hiking, I fend off strange dogs with my poles. Holding the poles vertically in front of me, with the tips near my boots, I swing the poles vigorously back and forth, crossing the poles in front of me.
Dogs back off immediately. Excellent.
In 2017, I set a personal record by hiking 326 miles with 63,200 feet of elevation gain (and loss.)
"Don't slog in the bog. Get high on the ridges!" has been my hiking motto since age 21.
Today's hike was like the "Sound of Music" movie. We hiked the Pacific Crest Trail southward from Stevens Pass, WA. Blue skies. Snow-capped mountains in all directions. High alpine meadows filled with wildflowers. New snow in the mountains.
With four women today, I hiked 6.6 miles total with 2,000 feet in elevation gain. Slippery snow on the trail in places.
I took lots of photos. Will post the best pics tomorrow. Too tired to look at the pictures and choose the best ones.
After showering and eating dinner, I just want to put my feet up and read.
@LiterateHiker six months wow yes those dog owners are major assholes. They should have been arrested and served time in jail. Great self defense technique. Are you still able to hike with the ligament damage? Did it heal well enough?
@JohnINFP
My injured knee ligament healed with RICE: rest, ice, compression and elevation.
Four years ago, I stopped downhill skiing. I want my knees for life.
@LiterateHiker Wow! You're right up there with Superman! Very Impressive! That's living! Look forward to seeing the photos.
@LiterateHiker That's great!
@JohnINFP
Thanks, John.
Hiking is a transcendent, uplifting experience for me. We all need more low-level ecstasy in our lives.
I took this photo while climbing Rock Mountain in August 2017. See what I mean? These mountains are close to where I live.
@LiterateHiker I see. Beautiful!
Reading these posts makes me want to get a very large travel van and pick you guys up to do some of these things!!!! I imagine that is why we love to interact with others...there is no possible way we can ever experience everything in life, but we do get to live vicariously through others on many things. I hope that some of the things you listed you have never done because you really don't want to or care to...things that can harm you or kill you, for instance, but, if they are things you do want to do, get going! Or else, I am going to be knocking on your door! I have never....been to Australia.
I'd go to Australia with you. : ) Always thought about visiting the land down under after watching Mad Max and music videos by Men At.Work and of course the Crocodile Hunter. : ) I'll see if my brother can hook me up with some tickets.
@JohnINFP I am going...for about six weeks...this is my lifetime dream so I have been saving for a very long time. Thanks for the offer! lol...I have new and old friends there so I hope to catch up with everyone while seeing this beautiful country...New Zealand as well!
@thinktwice Wow! Sounds like you will have an awesome trip! From what I've seen in movies and tv, New Zealand should be beautiful. Good for you!
@JohnINFP one more thing off my bucket list!
@thinktwice I haven't even started a bucket list. I better get to it.
@JohnINFP I think I started mine when i was about 12...I probably need to take being President off my list...lol
@thinktwice Well, You never know. A guy with a reality show and 0 government experience is president. If you run against you know who in 2020. I'll vote for you.
: )
@JohnINFP Yeah, I hear you..lol
Worn pink.
Looked at your pics, and you’d look good in pink! A nice warm tone, not hot pink.
Wow you guys have never lived!
I can't believe how few of you have flown. I literally do not know anyone who hasn't flown. Most Brits visit other countries. My motto in life is to try everything once. I haven't left the earth's orbit or existed as a male but I would perhaps give it a go. You only get one go around boys and girls, give it a try!
I know so many who've never been outside of their country, heck their province/state, and some their county. I understand some people who have a fear of flying though. One of my friends would drive everywhere and take boats/ferries but refuses to fly.
I've been everywhere from the Yukon to New Zealand. I've flown plenty, even on a helicopter and on an open biplane.
So many things! I have never traveled overseas. I have never tripped on acid. I have never flown any aircraft. I have never hitchhiked. I have never used injectable drugs. I have never been in an untethered hot air balloon. I have never gone skiing or snowboarding. There are millions of foods I have not eaten. I have never owned a cat. I have never hiked the Pacific Crest Trail. I have never written a song or novel. I have never learned to play an instrument. I could probably go on all night...
ive never flown to the moon in fact ive never flown
I love flying. I recommend it.
@JohnINFP the whole concept scares the flying fuck out of me
@LeighShelton I understand, I'm scared of big rollercoasters
@JohnINFP me too
Never smoked a cigarette. Never enjoyed animated cartoons. Never liked tequila until I was introduced to Don Anejo 1942 ?
Wow! I've watched cartoons my whole life. They are so funny. That probably explains alot about me. Lol
If you have never done that they don't say yuk because you really do not know.
Ah, but you can have an idea. Eating is partly a psychological experience anyway, so we can make it "yuk" for ourselves.
@MikeInBatonRouge True but think of all the things that you are missing out on by thinking it is yuk.
@Jolanta absolutely happy to miss out on most of them. Especially regarding taste, my experience is that when my gut instinct tells me I won't like something but I try it anyway, 4 out of 5 times guess what. I don't like it. Often I even wish I could forget that experience. So......
@MikeInBatonRouge In my experience there have been things that I did not want to eat or try but after having done it, sometimes I have been pleasantly surprised. All I am saying is keep an open mind.
I feel yuk by the look
Ate a tomato? If you do this make sure it's a fresh off the vine one very tasty
Having sex with a man and all its modern trans derivates is something not on my resume. I stay in my lane. Never striked a female in my life, not even as a child. Never smoke a cigarette, never pierced or tattooed my flesh. I am very proud of all my never done.
So many things I have not done. Used a wing suit. Had sex in public, or with two people at once. Robbed a bank. Rode a jet ski. Rode a bull. Or bucking bronco--I am not that masochistic. Deep sea dived. Gone to Hawaii, or Alaska, anywhere in Asia, Africa, Australia, Antarctica or the Pacific west of coastal America, or the Caribbean. Done any illicit drugs. Gone to a strip club (Yes, I am surprisingly sheltered). Eaten shark. ...managed to think of all the things I haven't done.
