What's your best beauty/health tip?
. Mine: Fill your plate with vegetables and make the size of your meat equivalent to a tile.
Smoking will age your skin faster than anything. Use sunscreen everyday and live life in a positive manner...stress ages and affects your health.
@Redcupcoffee I usually can tell when I meet people how much stress they have had in their lives...I recommend meditation or some sort of physical activity to deal with stress...thanks for the book recommendation.
Get plenty of sleep and drink more water than anything else.
This is mine too.
I make sure my meat is the size of a tile. A ceiling tile lol
All things in moderation. Cutting things out completely unless said thing will instantly sicken or kill you will just make you miserable and no-one is healthy or beautiful when they're miserable.
Green tea is a fantastic drink when you're tired, hungry, or having a rough tummy. It is so refreshing and energizing and good. But real green tea not that bottled citrusy nonsense lol.
@Redcupcoffee I love my green tea. I buy twinnings and drink it over ice. Sooooo tasty
This one is for all genders: if the people in your life suffer from your declining follicle functionality shave ya damn head.
If you turn out to have a horrible looking scalp, well... stay shaved and get a few nice wigs.
I shave to hide the fact that I'm balding.
The world is made better for it.
I've been trying to eat healthier.
My breakfast yesterday was chilled watermelon chunks and fresh strawberries. Yum!
Today, same thing plus 1 organic banana,
Sometimes I forget to eat lunch altogether.
Dinner: There are a lot of different sized tiles. lol
Don't do as i do!
@Redcupcoffee actually I usually try to eat healthy- avoiding processed sugars and carbs and I'm fairly physically active, but I'm on vacation and have eaten a lot of junk. BTW brisket and ribs are too good tasting!
I don’t have any.
@Redcupcoffee I was referring to beauty. Health? Join the navy and work out a lot.
Eat meat, drink water. Don't abuse bad stuff. Prioritize sleep.
Sleep is elusive too many nights.
@HippieChick58 WIsh I could help. I usually sleep soundly.
@Mitch07102 I envy you.
@HippieChick58 Just do it. Start today.
Portion control. For meals, I use a small, salad plate. Cover half the plate with vegetables. One meat serving is the size of a pack of cards.
Drink lots of water all day. I never drink soda pop. Don't like alcohol because it dehydrates me and gives me a headache.
For 35 years, I have not eaten deep fried food, fast food, preserved meats with cancer-causing nitrites and nitrates, donuts, pizza: high fat, sugary junk that Americans love.
Avoid processed foods. Instead, I cook at home from scratch.
Exercise regularly. Especially as we get older, we need weight-bearing exercise to build strength and muscle, and aerobic exercise for endurance and heart health. It is important to stretch after exercising.
Hiking is a transcendent, uplifting experience for me. Weight-lifting gives me strength to climb steep trails and carry a heavy pack.
WATER!! Lots of water. I love water and drink it all day, never soda. That is why I look younger than both my younger sisters. If we didn't love each other they'd hate me.
All things in moderation except sugar. Avoid foods with added sugars and limit sugars to less than 50 grams a day.
