What's your dream job?
Self employment... Oh wait I'm already doing that
@Redcupcoffee I have a handyman / landscape maintenance services
I would like to be a park ranger, to live and work with America’s astounding nature.
Playing music, which l have been very fortunate to do for most of my adult life, and l still play to this day. I feel very lucky. Owning a donut shop would be my second choice.
@Redcupcoffee I'm sure it would be a nice house. ☺ l got fucked on the hair thing, but l got a great metabolism. Bring on the donuts!
@Redcupcoffee At least you have hair! We have diet colas, diet cookies, and diet dinners. Why no DIET DONUTS?
@Redcupcoffee They exist?
@Redcupcoffee ?
Teaching people to cook.
@Redcupcoffee I’d take a poll from the students to teach them the things they want to learn to cook.
@Redcupcoffee luckily I grew up close to Louisiana, so my family would often go there for vacation. Lots of amazing Cajun and creole food. One of the secrets is to create your own creole seasoning which is actually very easy.
Well, I'm retired going on 6 years now. So my ideal job is now watching the wildlife habitat garden from my hammock during the summer. And traveling the Caribbean in the winter.
I'd love to be able to make a solid living with my writing; that way, I could also be a stay-at-home dad and care for my eternal child.
@Redcupcoffee I have a series of suspense/thriller novels set in the 2050's. And there are non-related projects in the works as well.
I'd own an art foundry where I cast iron and bronze sculpture.
Sounds very cool!!
and by cool I mean super interesting,
as I assume it's probably pretty hot.
@scurry Yes, it's pretty hot at certain times and cool all the time
I am in my dream job .. RETIREMENT.
@Redcupcoffee There is NO one size fits all for humanity.
I have a few...
I'd love to work on a shark-cage diving boat. Seeing great whites in the wild would never get old to me.
Or a Nature photographer. Getting paid to travel the World and just attempt to capture glimpses of rare or deadly . Or... After I saw the movie "Rampage" with the Rock, his character used to be an anti-poaching Ranger. Getting paid to stop assholes from poaching? Yes please.
@Redcupcoffee
I think doing them ALL would be difficult, LMAO. But once I finish with the military, I'll certainly try to do one of them.
@Redcupcoffee
Thank you "Red"! I appreciate that, and hope you can live out yours as well.
Rally car driver. Ever since my first Colin McRae video that's all I've ever wanted to do. I've done enough training I should be able to do it. There's just not a market for that kind of thing in America unless you have a lot of money.
A florist! Although they do have sad occasions to deal with, the thought of making someone's day with a simple boquet of flowers appeals to me. I've also wanted to open a pie shop that employs only women over fifty, "Flo" type women, who serve baked goodness with a side of sass!
I've considered owning a restaurant called "Btches," and hiring only middle aged women because bitches get sh*t done!
I would love to learn his to build things. A machinist, maybe. Or carpenter/cabinet builder.
Is genius-billionaire-playboy-philanthropist still available? I think I'd like that one.
Or tabletop game designer. One or the other would be fine.
I sort of have my dream job.
I'm a Graphic Designer as a small but very capable shop.
The money could be better, and there could be more bacon involved. and they could get rid of that one jackass, but other than that, I think I'm pretty lucky.
I used to want to own a cafe/art studio/creation space. Cozy cafe with tasty eats and yummy drinks. A little spot for knitters with comfy chairs and tons of yarn. Back rooms where folks can pick up a brush and try their hand at painting, or throw some clay on the wheel. Maybe a room for some art & crafts, steam-punk creations or electronic gizmos. Some stuff could be sold in the cafe area.
It's a bit of a pipe dream, and I suspect would never run a profit, but I like the idea of people coming together and creating; support and encourage local talent and curiosities.
@Redcupcoffee Cool - ya, me too. I've always been creative, but oddly enough also practical. Not often a good mix. LOL
I'll let you know if my Cafe ever gets up and running.
