I might have mentioned my favor to this site. but I think I'll elaborate once again.

I was a member of a blog site called Thoughts.com for about a decade. I really liked it there, and I made many friends.

Some were christians, some were non-believers. besides the ocasional heated arguments that had happened, for the most part I rteally had a mutual respect with many others.

In fact, One of my friends, who as well as I, whad a huge following as well. we both had the pention to go way outside the box and post some really fucked up stuf just to get a rise out of some people.

The really cool thing to me about our friendship was that he was a christian, and I am an atheist. Yet we never squabled over that , in fact even he made fun of religion as well as I did.

We actually got to meet in person a few times. Had quite a few beers, and just hung out listening to some great music. Which was another thing we had in common, we bothe like the same bands and such.

But one day they decided to shut down that site, and I was longing to find another place to call 'home'.

I joined many blog sites, but none of them really seemed to fit just right.

Then one day while on Facebook, this site popped up and I thought I'd give it a go.
Man, I am so glad I did. This place is every thing I've been looking for. and even in the short time that I've been here, I feel like I've made3 a few friends., and felt welcomed.

Thank you all that have made me like this place. I am happy to be amoung you.

Welcome Tristan, I feel the same way. This site has been a longed-for connection to like-minded people and I look forward to perusing Agnostic.com as often as I can.
Another group you might enjoy is the Freedom From Religion Foundation. They publish a fantastic newsletter and I laugh so hard at the FFRF "Crank Mail" section that I'm sad when I finish reading. I never throw them away ! You can check them out online or subscribe for $40 / year to get the newsletter. It's the best $40 I ever spent !

Thank you for the kind words. It really kind words. It means a lot to be part to belong to a community with like like minded people.

Wait until you uncover some of the ‘out-in-the-boon-docks’ people on this site! You could have second thoughts. Then on the other hand you could be one...Welcome and I will watch for your thoughts!
