I wouldn't use the tastes of people who buy canned use as a basis for any culinary decisions.

I confess that I buy canned chili because I get a bit carried away when I make it myself. I like homemade chili, but not enough for a two week supply.
The fact that the kind with beans is sold out, leaving only the rejected no beans version? I'm assuming the empty space is where the normal chili with beans was.
