They moved all the boundaries around in wales so that they could keep a majority since then its never neem a democracy .more people voted for labour in cities etc but as the counties or whatever count as one seat they lost . Its all a giant scam
Wales as in Scotland, it doesn't matter who we vote for. England has always decided which government will be in power. The Devolved governments are not worth the paper they are written on, Westminster can "Impose" it's will on both them. Which is effectively a "Veto" on decisions it doesn't like.
Not only is it not a proud record, I think more and more that we no longer live in a democracy - it seems more like a plutocracy: we do not have a majority government, Cameron had to make a coalition to remain in office and your piece is a stark reminder that if you are not wealthy the government doesn't care one bit. I can't remember the words that Theresa May used when she took office but I seem to recall the gist was that the future would be for the less well off as much as for those with money. I will try to find a transcript and I am sure the words will prove to be hollow.

Now we have got the worst possible scenario, a weak Tory government riven with strife and being propped up by the right wing religious nut jobs in the DUP. That particularly nasty bunch are not even capable of running a partnership assembly here in Northern Ireland because of their religious bigotry. They have left us without government for eighteen months, not caring that civil servants can’t take the decisions so badly needed here because the politicians are not at Stormont to sign them off. In the meantime they are cock-a-hoop at Westminster, the nasy tail wagging the Tory dog,
