An ethical question. If one were to download from a pirate site a film or album that you would never buy unless you had zillions of bucks, is that unethical being as you would never buy it anyway so the artists/studio are not losing any revenue?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.So what you are saying is that someone might think it is alright to personally enjoy something that another person, an artist or musician, created because they can't or won't pay for it...the rationale is that the artist or musician are not getting anything anyway, and yet the pirater still gets the benefit...zero for them one for the one pirating...I see...

@Geoffrey51 I am merely commenting on your premise...not on your own choice or what you would do...I understand that you are forcing us to look at our own ethical standards and I respect and enjoy the question...which is why I left it open ended...I will change the singular and personal pronouns to make it clearer

Legally, its a crime of course. You're not hurting anyone so it really isn't terribly immoral though technically you are stealing something. Then again, many artists freely put their music on Youtube and even make their songs available for download free.
I've "acquired" quite a few movies via the internet that I'm really really glad I didn't spend to see because they were awful.
