My current boyfriend was raised by his Grandfather in TX to be a Southern Baptist, I tell him I have more compassion for people than he does being an Atheist. He also drinks to excess on his 3 day weekends, which are every weekend, he is skating on thin ice with me !

RUN! If your instincts tell you this is not right, get out of this. Much of my life has been and still is in bars. Alcohol, when abused, is the worst.

Why are you with him?

I keep looking for a place to move to that I can afford with my two cats, there is nothing at this present time where I live and work

I guess you are in a position to answer the Christian/Atheist couple question. It makes what is complicated (relationships) even more complicated.

Religion is the least of our problems. He was a non smoker when I met him, I thought, as he was smoking E cigarettes, but when they got to be too expensive he went back to smoking ( he has a machine and makes his own, for cheap) If I had known he was a smoker, I never would have gotten involved with him. The binge drinking causes fights every time. He calls me all kinds of names and say's bad things about my late husband, he knows nothing about !

@joantheloon I agree with hankster, run! Before it gets violent.

@Barnie2years I currently live with him and am looking for a place I can afford, that will accept my cats, I keep looking, to no avail, yet !

I suggested it to my boss a couple weeks ago. He laughed.
